Nice move by AG2R. I think he can get very good results in 1 week races like Paris Nizza, Tirreno, Catalunya etc.
Not strong enough for a Top20 GT.

Why is it that all dodgy French riders riding for a foreign team sign with AG2R and no other French PT team when they come back to France ? *whistle*
PĂ©raud ? Yes, he's strong enough for a GT top 20, maybe even top-15 but that's it. And he's already old, so he should start declining within a few years. |

Even though I'm swedish, I wouldn't call Kessiakoff a mega talent. |

A shame. I thought he'd sign with Saxo Bank. |

That's their sprint train, then. Now they just need a sprinter who is actually good

Well, McEwen is still pretty good compared to most sprinters. You don't win a stage in Eneco Tour unless you're a good sprinter. For next season he for sure still is a top 5 sprinter in the GT's. |

Also Hunter is a good sprinter for me. He just had to help Farrar a lot.
He can get Top5 in sprint ranking at all GT`s when he is in form and several Top5 results. |

sweet, I was getting worried Impey and Hunter would have to go back to SA. Now they just need a PT license.

Top 5?
Better than 3 of a non-injured Bennati, a non-injured Boonen, Cavendish, Farrar, Greipel, Pettachi, Freire, plus better than all the upcoming young riders?
McEwen's 38. He's done. He can take a few wins here and there, but not much more. This year he has one single win, ahead of such stellar sprinters as Lucas Haedo and Allan "I never win anything" Davis. Next year he'll be 39 and even worse.

Apparently Pegasus has a full written out plan (which the riders were told about before signing) for if they don't get a PT license and go ProConti. They'll basically do the same thing BMC and Cervelo did. |
