Great season by him so far, cant wait for the next couple years when he starts to do some amazing things
He's 25 now, those amazing things may start happening. I mean he's a good rider, but apart from his San Sebastian victory he hasn't done that many exceptional things.

Petacchi still has it. GP Pino Cerami (1.1)
It is worth noting how big this result is for Stallaert. He barely raced at all last season due to Mononucleosis. Not only that but he only raced the second half of 2012 for the same reason. Hopefully he is getting back up to speed - he deserves a spot in a PCT squad.
I know I am a bit late on this but I've been away so let me have it

6th at E3
10 @ Paris Nice
not exceptional but still pretty darn good
I don't disagree that those are good results, but there are 20 riders who can make a top 10 in Paris-Nice or E3. Don't get me wrong, I live Gallopin a lot, but he isn't the supertalent some people expected him to be.
I have to agree with fosfor here. Gallopin is definitely a good rider, incredibly all-around as well, but not a monstertalent.

That's his problem, he's too allrounded. He's good at cobbles, climbing, TTing, even decent in sprinting and seems to have some potential to be pretty good in hilly races... but he's excellent at nothing.
Look at Boasson Hagen. Also very allround but he's also excellent in TT (especially short ones) and sprints after a hilly stage (at least until he became Wiggins/Froome's water carrier). He can score with that.
I think Gallopin needs to specialize in hills, that seems to be his strongest point.

What is this for an Tour of Turkey (2.HC) race. Total dominance against Greipel?
Cavendish was ill for a long time, Greipel is recovering from a ripped collarbone, I think they're pretty even. OPQS sends a stronger team allthough a lot will matter whether Hendo can finally get in form. Also Belkin sends a strong team and with a lesser in form Cav and Greipel mayby Bos can take some wins in Turkey.
I just hope that this year not someone from Torku EPOspor wins the GC. Why do they even still invite that team?
