But biggest dissappoinment for the tournament is the Vuvuvelas, those things are so annoying and have ruined the atmophere at the World Cup, it drowns out the famous chants and drums of England's Great Escape.

Really, if you think that Xavi bring the same stuff as Alonso or Busquets, you should pay way more attention the next time you watch them play.
On Senna, completely agree. Busquets just can't do half his job. And in normal conditions Alonso would be in the bench while Torres would be with Villa up there.
On Navas: he's fireworks. He does a lot of noise, but doesn't contribute that much to the team. |

Again my focus is more on what they don't bring. And that is the exact same thing. NO searchs the big holes, David Villa creats when he moves a bit back from his forward positions. Espiacally when the swiss defenders burst forward with David Villa every time he moves back. It worked well for Switzerland, because there was no threats.
The Villa a bit behind Torres thing will be better that what the lined up against Switzerland, but Toress seems a bit out of form, and that's why i think the best thing would be playing Fabregas or Iniesta behind Villa.
And i think you should pay attention when you see Sevilla play HE's a constant threat on the right wing and against the swiss, he brought pace and exlposivity and had a great attempt. He wouldn't be that much needed if Ramos did his job and went forward enough and at the right time. He did that quite well at Euro 2008, so he could return to that type of play. |

How can Ivory Coast get through two matches and not have anyone sent off playing like that?
And Keita's act after all his challenges is just as hypocritical as it gets.

Okay, are you saying that Xavi can't take advantage of the spaces created when Villa come down to the midfield? Because that's not true. In fact, he and Fabregas are the better at this Spain has (talking about MCs). Imo, they should play with Fabregas as AMC behind Villa, and take Alonso out. Not that I really care, but this way Spain would improve. Now, everytime the Spanish manager dares to put a R. Madrid player in the bench, he'll face the anger of the media, and Del Bosque just lacks the guts you need for that.
And, again, Navas is a constant threat. Yep, but nothing more than a threat. Sevilla plays in a quite different manner than Spain. When playing with Sevilla, Navas has a lot of space to run, which is the thing he's better at. When playing with Spain he's pure and plain fireworks. He dodges 439865 rivals only to finally lose the ball or make a bad pass. |

As for Spain, Torres and Fabregas should be brought on.
Brazil 3-1 Ivory Coast. Keita played the fool and Kaka got unnecessary booked one more time, so he was kicked off - poor joke. The encounter was great in the second half, hence both teams provided good interplays - thanks to Kaka who played better - and accurate shots - Drogba did a perfect header. Brazil must now be through to the last 16. On the other hand, IC'll have trouble going through

No it wasn't. It was a deserved second yellow. Yes Keita dived horribly, but Kaka had no reason to do what he did. It was a yellow, and it was unfotunately a second yellow.
Also, it's who you support. Not who you cheer for. |

How can you still be talking about Spain? Portugal has just corrupted a WC referee.
No Kaka, no Elano Go Portugal.
(I know, Portugal will loose anyway, and Kaka and Elano may still play...) |

The part in bold, is the thing i have repeated all the time. Good to see, that you agree with this clever view of mine, that you didn't understood or agreed before?
Xavi as not as good as Fabregas as running in those holes and scoring, but Xavi is the best in the world when he is placed a bit more back, like in Barca.
Navas shouldn't be a safe starter, but when David Silva does nothing at all, Navas is a better alternative. If Silva is told to keep width or the full backs learn to come orward right, then he probably isn't needed. BUt that didn't happen and i thought Navas made a positive impact on the Spanish team. |

Fair Enough. And after seeing the tapes again I see the elbow was a little excesive. I hate diving though. Its probably the #1 reason nobody watches soccer (football) in Canada besides the WC.

I don't watch football much.

Fair Enough. I just thought he completly dived and someone in a north american sport would never have falllen over from such minimal contact nor would it have been called on. Thats the reason almost no one watches soccer besides the WC in Canada and probably the US also.

I really agree in this. Generally the north americans have so much self respect, that they doesn't dive/flop and they know that the spectators doesn't like it as well. There's a clear difference in f.ex. NBA between americans and international players. The latter doesn't mind flopping/diving and players like Anderson Varajeo and Pau Gasol are pathetic to watch sometimes. |

France's players refused to train today because of Anelka's expulsion from the squad for insult to coach Domenech ('Son of a b*', 'f* off' ). The players stayed on the bus and closed the window curtains. Ok children. They are a disgrace and a dishonor to France.

They just act like clowns. Dont gather everything! Most of the players does not like their country and then I cannot consider them representing France any longer. Im not ashamed of being French - but proud - so I keep my faith in France and not in that stupid squad.

The Brazillian players were play acting throughout the game, and there they got a taste of their own medicine (not to say that was the only "dirty" play by Cote d'ivoire during that game of course). |

i feel sorry for you mate.
you look forward to the world cup for 4 years and then the team goes and does that to you.
hopefully England can still pull it out of the bag and get to at least the quarters.
is there any news on Elano's injury yet? |
