They climb much slower though, nowadays. Probably because their margins to dope have been highly reduced by better controls and the bio-passport. |

I think many others feel that way too.

It's really sad to see how a lot of people immediately start insulting him, just for bringing this up. Especially considering that he was right about Armstrong all the way from the start.
Anyway, it's good to see that he continues to question suspicious riders. It's a real shame there aren't more people like him in the sport.

I have a question. Why doesn't Sky's website list all the team doctors under team staff?
They conspicuously didn't list Leinders, and now they list all the doctors except Leinders' replacement....Fabio Bartolucci, one of the doctors busted in the 2001 San Remo doping raids that nearly got the Giro cancelled midway through.

If memory serves me correctly, their excuse last time was that Leinders wasn't a full-time employee

He was only used on a temporary basis I think I remember reading somewhere, they used him when the other doctors were busy or otherwise indisposed, it turned out to be like 80 days a year or something like that
P.S: Not defending the decision to place all the doctors on the Sky website, but maybe they did it so that it is general knowledge who their staff are because they took a load of heat when people found out Leinders was working with them and they didnt tell anyone |

Tim Kerrison came into the sport with no prior knowledge of the sport. What he did was question the traditions: Why would you rest for days after a race? Why don't you all work in one area? Stuff like that basically which added marginal gains to performance. Also SKY is linked with British cycling which is based on new members and not results. Also Sky have invested the most money into the sport by a huge margin to get the best equipment (aero dynamics)
Sky the sponsor agreed to fund the road and track team on a strictly no doping policy - imagine if they got caught, Sky would be completely ruined! Why risk all that and also what has happened to others who have doped.

These points were not ignored, they were even heavily discussed.
In the end some of us think that these marginal gains and revolution technologies are the same trash talk we heard in the past from US Postal and similar dirty basterds.
Also "they would be absolutely ruined, why would they do that" sentence is heard again and again in the history of doping and people never learn and this excuse means completly nothing...

Phew that was a long & difficult thread to read. I'm no expert on Cycling only really getting in to it in the last couple of years. Really hope and believe Sky are clean.
But reading through the thread there does seem to be a lot of "sour grapes"over how Britain is challenging strongly the traditional strongholds of Cycling. |

Okay, so here it is, the final and ultimate nonsense was being said : all the traditional cycling strongholds are jealous that Brits are pawning it, congrats for making this complete, it would not be the same without this mentioned. Now we can remember how jealous frenchies accused Lance with theit dirty lying tongues right?

Also as a half Czech and half Slovak, i will never believe Wiggo and Froome or someone from Sky, because they are ruining the top position of Czech cycling on the cycling throne. How can they, we were the cycling stars and now the Brits beated us to the ground with their marginal gains.
Seems legit...

If you read between the lines of what the French said after the last Olympics, some doubt is permitted about that. |

@Avin - Sorry, I didn't mean all of the things I mentioned.
And with the French, they were just completely butt-hurt as usual.
And with Chris Hoy his rise to fame has been gradual - reached his peak at Beijing (I would say) at the age of 32! |

Should clarify on my point - track cyclists are usually young (to those unsure) |

So you've come here to tell us that we've ignored the two most used arguments in the 67 pages of this topic, then you finish it all off with the most cliched, most overused, most ridiculous and most often disproven argument in the history of doping......
Excuse me, I need to lie down
EDIT: I have absolutely nothing against you, it's just.....bad way to start. Very very bad way to start.

Team Sky dopes

Does it?
Strongest team on paper.
Henao and Uran being doemstqiues which could have podiumed this stage if not working for Froome
Froome being on top shape and his biggest goal of the season par Tour.
I mean, I expect many more perofmances that will lead to Sky being ''doping'' and other stuff, but not this performance especially.
