I'm not so sure Petacchi would have won that sprint. It was a technical run-in, and he didn't have is train, and Petacchi isn't that good when the sprint is a low-speed-sprint like this one. |

The reason other riders dope, is because they try to keep up with Edvald Boasson Hagen.
When Edvald Boasson Hagen attacks, the other riders don't follow him. They're dragged behind him in the enormous suction that is created by his attack. |

When Edvald Boasson Hagen participates in a race, he lets the other riders have a ten minutes head start. |

Wiggins has apparently lost 7kg.
Knowing the big difference one kg makes....that explains a lot.
Anyway, this is his first year of focusing on the road, so it's normal what's happening.

Apparently the decent was giving lots of trouble to the riders and it helped Scarponni win today as the large peloton was unable to chase through the narrow turns, it also helped to create the gap in the peloton at the beginning of the decent....The Astana riders said they did not know there was a gap until too late, and did not know Armstrong was in the second group until a little after the first village on the way down from the summit and it was too late to chase. |

that's why I think that we won't see a mass sprint tomorrow being hard for the pack to pass the downhill without crashes so they won't go crazy after someone that attacks.
