4/10 - That Alan Walker tune is great as an instrumental. I've been listening to it a lot. But I've never heard it with vocals, and it should have stayed that way. Her voice is unimpressive and bland, generic lyrics and the same kind of mass produced melody as most other mass produced modern music. The singer makes that great tune sound like any other pop song.
I've been having a Roxy Music period lately. Haven't fully appreciated the creative genious of Bryan Ferry until recently.
6/10 Interesting. A bit strange that I have never heard anything by them until now. Although I have never tried to get into glam rock, so maybe not so much. I think I might change it in the future though.
Did I mention already that France has an extremely high number of great musicians? When it comes to my favourite ones, it must be the leading country.
I like such style of music, so, for me it is pretty good. I can give 8/10, I will add them to my iPod)
Well, most of you must know this song, but anyway
7/10 - Quite liked it, probably if i listen a few more times i'll even get it on my ipod. Liked the rythm underneath it all, but the lyrical scheme i didn't like too much.
This song is just... it's just what music really should be.
Even if you only mildy liked this, or found it even a little interesting the Picaresque album its from is outstanding!
7/10 - Good but it's very similar to a range of recent country-pop songs that have come out without coming off as anything special or particularly memorable. Not that i'm trying to be hipster, just that there are better songs in the same genre and style.
But this is pure major label generated pop music designed to make money off the back of the pop punk/emo scene around in the mid/late 2000's. Avril started with a little credibility but completely sold out and turned into some kind of Japanimated/Hello Kitty monstrosity. The two points are for Avril being one of my teenage crushes groing up
Here is some real pop-punk from the godfather's of the genre. This is there new line up minus Tom Delonge (who seems to have gone off to chase UFO's) and with Matt Skiba of, one of the other truly great pop-punk bands of the last decade, The Alkaline Trio.
Enjoy
