I took Kyle's advice and hit the streets of Los Angeles.
I didn't know what else to do. I had come so far just to lose it all.

I wandered the streets, local bars, and strip joints looking for answers.
It didn't help. Again, I was just wasting my time. And your time.

Where do I want my story to go? I'm 12 Seasons in and I still don't know.

I could have been the underdog farm boy that overcame the odds,
the amateur that got hit by car and still fought his way to the top, or even
the guy that made horrible relationship decisions and still made the best of it.

I'm I still that guy? That guy that went nameless for 2 seasons
because I was afraid to be 100% open with my readers... I don't know.

Maybe I should just get an office job and call it quits.

"I found a loophole, they banned you from road race cycling. Not track."

"Well, I guess it's worth a shot then. I got nothing to lose. One question,
how are you going to get me a spot in Districts? I haven't raced track in years."

"Don't worry. I'll pull some strings and work my magic. I can handle it."

"Grab your track stuff, let's go."

"Kyle is your calendar messed up, districts are in two days."

"Not for you. Your journey start today.
I may have told you a slight lie when I said I got you a spot in districts."

"What's going on? Come on man don't be messing with me it's 7AM."

"Seriously get up. I could only maneuver you into a qualifying spot for districts.
Which means you have to win a 16-rider sprint tournament to make the omnium.

"You could have at least told me you prick."

"I didn't tell you because you would have freaked out.
You are a lot better at track when you don't think about it so much.
Okay, you know what, I'll get your stuff and Joseph. Just make yourself a coffee."

I had been crashing at Kyle's place for almost 3 months now
so I really had no ground to argue on. I got up, Kyle returned moments later.



"Really man... Chloe's jersey? Way too soon, that hurts.
