Basso and Spilak both surprised me quite a bit. In different ways, of course. Spilak's made a big, sudden jump up in performance. Basso's done the opposite.
Gotta hand it to Valverde. He took a bonus sprint, so he was already ahead on GC. So he could've just sucked wheels all the way. But nope, he attacked, and once in the lead group he did the lion's share of the work.

Could someone tell the british eurosport commentators that it's Ovechkin, not Ochevkin? |

It's annoyed me for several days now! Thankfully, at this stage of the fourth...err...stage, he's not mentioned much anymore. |

hey, the British Eurosport guys try their best.
You try learning how to say hundreds of different foreign names. Go on.

Taaramäe has been racing in Pro Tour races since start of 2009 and it took Eurosport commentators over a year to get his name right (he was first mentioned on Eurosport in 2007 WC so they have been geting his name wrong for almost 3 years).
I don't remember who was the quest to help them get it right but big thanx to him, tired of hearing "Tamurai".

Look if they can't get the team names right, you're expecting a bit much for them to get rider names correct. |

Why are we talking ice-hockey in a cycling topic?

I believe I could easily do better than those guys. On the other hand, I would suck at commentating in general... |

As the commentators are really well paid and their only job is to learn riders names and results and then talk about it, idont understand how they can pronounce some names wrong for years
They are idiots or what?If i will do my job as they are,i will be fired
Go Roman!

Oh, it was so funny?
I don't know how it is in Britain but in our country the tv commentator obviously has better payment than teacher or maybe a doctor as well and they dont have the responsibility and keep saying shits
Go Roman!

A commentator does NOT have a better salary than a doctor, not even close. A teacher with a proper education earns a lot more than a commentator too |

That's got to be in Norway, because in Spain a college teacher earns barely more than a waiter. |

Over here it depends on the college (or university as the british call it)
*Remembers the Porsches and Jaguars at the university he went to*
