Next up is the stats development file. I'll upload it later today or tomorrow. It's basically done already but I still have to do some testing.
@Marsupilami and krisa please don't post in the signup thread if you don't have to add anything to your team, the game will go on soon. |

After a barren spell I am looking forward to that.
- If anyone still needs a jersey for ICL season 2, and thinks I can make a good go at it, feel free to send me a PM (will only do 1 though). |

So the last task you have to do of the first season of ICL, decide about the training program of your riders.
You'll do it with this file: https://www.mediafire.com/?n03cjpceix...pceixqu73g
In detail this is kind of complicated so I just give you a short idea about how stats are made. Behind each stat there is a number that is between 0 and 1000. 1000 will give the rider a stat of 85, 0 52. Which number is required for which stat can be seen in table 3. Which number the rider currently can be looked up in Stats.
Stats are divided in three types of stats, primary (MO,HI,TT,SP,CB), secondary (FL,PR,AC,FI) and tertiary (DH,ST,RS,RC) stats. Each of those has a maximum of points depending on the riders potential that the cyclist can reach in his career through natural progress.
Depending on the age, potential, scored race points, race days and if the rider is in a dev team, but also depending on the riders maximum every rider gets a certain amount of progress points. Usually 50% of those points go to primary stats, 30% to secondary and 20% to tertiary. That won't be happening if the rider reaches his max in one of those stattypes. Then he will only get what's required to do so.
By selecting the training program you can decide in which ratio they will be spent. There are 12 programs selectable. The numbers show you how much out of 100 points the specific stat would give you. The secondary and tertiary stats get on average less points per stat than the primary. That's why the numbers you see will be multiplied by 4/3 (secondary) and 2 (tertiary) before being added on top of the current stats. This guarantees an even development.
Still to balance things out in the long run, some stats won't be taken over 1:1.
----
Now, how does the file work? The first thing is as always, enter your Team ID in C2 in table Team. If you have forgotten it look it up in teams. If you go to Riders you will see all your contracted riders listed. Next to their stats, you see a number from 1 to 7. That's the training program the average calculator suggests, if you don't select a program by yourself this one will be taken.
In column Y you see the total progress points the cyclist gets. It is recommended to filter all 0,00 out to avoid having a too long list. column Z, AA and AB are the points the rider gets for primary, secondary and tertiary stats respectively.
If you have filtered out the riders that won't progress, you can start assigning training programs. Just put in W the number of the program you want, in X the name of the program will appear and the stats will switch immediately to how they'd look like if the rider trains with this specific program. To know more specific how much better the stats got, you can check out StatsNew. In RidersNew you will see your entire team with the new stats.
With this file you can also use what you got for Potion of youth in the research. In the beginning every rider has age of decline 33 even older riders. Raising it to 34 costs 1 point. Raising it from 34 to 35 2 points, from 35 to 36 4 points and from 36 to 37 8 points. So raising the age of decline of a rider from 33 to 35 eg will cost you 3 points.
In riders go column AF and add the new age of decline the program will calculate how much it costs.
If you are done with everything go to table PM. If you only assigned training programs, only send me columns B-C. If you also used Potion of Youth add columns F-G to the PM you send me.
---
On something different, I came to an agreement with knockout to lower Peter Sagans HI stat to 77 before the riders development. Sagan is maxed out, so he won't progress any further naturally.
I decided to do this because I didn't like to see how the game handles Sagan's current stats. He'd basically win every hilly race. knockout will get a little compensation in the transfer season. |

Tell me if there are questions, or something not well explained.
Basically only the how-to part is important, the rest is just me trying to explain what exactly happens. |

Ok, it looks doable. But where do those training packages I once bought fit in?

@mvh: in table teams
@ollfardh: everything on its time, this one is just the natural progression. The stat packs will be added at the begin of season 2. |

This is awesome. Amazing work Bikex. It's nice to be able to manipulate the stats however you want, like increasing Perrett's climbing from 50 to 69 in one off-season, otherwise known as the 'Wiggins Upgrade'.
Just one small question. Does it matter what we put in the Training column for the riders that have no points? Even though I have entered nothing, they still have a plan assigned to them in the PM tab.

Thanks.
Wait you can update a riders stat by 19? I thought the progression was rather too slow than too fast.
No it doesn't matter, they are just included because it would have been an extra effort for me to remove them. |

I was surpriseed by which riders got what number of progession points, didn't seem to match up to the criteria at all on a couple of guys (you'd be shocked at how few points Kelderman got!). Also their were more than 7 training plans. Plus the suggested plan was funny as hell on the young riders, often saying i should boost their non-best specialization, but that isn't a problem just found it amusing.
