Still of Tour de L'Avenir Bakelandts will win because of the stage he won on a break 4:28 ahead of the peloton, Rui Costa was better in the TT and specially on the mountains, i know he still very young but i'm really excited to see his future. |

Im just back from the final stage of the Tour of Britain in Liverpool - it was awesome! I was right on the barriers about 30-40m from the finish line. A great view of all the action!
Petacchi won the stage, Lequatre the overall. I will be uploading plenty of pictures.

He won because he was in a break and the race radio kept telling the teams the guy in second in the stage was the one up front. At the finish they suddenly told the teams: "By the way, there was also a guy named Bakelandts a few more minutes further ahead"
Needless to say everyone was pissed. He lost buckets of time in the mountains and TT after that, but he held on to a meagre 36 seconds. That's gotta be the least deserved Avenir win since Iker Flores
Make no mistake, he's not a climber by any strech of the imagination.
EDIT: also, crappy field. Even Costa dominated the climbs despite not being a pure climber

The only crappy about the field was the missing of Spain and Norway. Apart from that, fine field although there was no Smukulis og Ghyselinck.
Bakelants is definitely not a climber but he climbs much better than the average and was 10th on the queen stage. He'll be at the top of the Ardennes in 5 years time.
I was impressed by TJ Van Garderen and especially Jarlinson Pantano. Both of them are or will turn 20 in a short time and they've both made great results this year. Van Garderen really impressed in the Circuito Montañes while Pantano has just devoloped all through the year and I expect him to be the dominate climber next year.
Never.

wtf? organizers ftw.
Btw, Bakelandts lost more than 4min in the queen stage of the race. There's no way in hell he'd win this race if it wasn't for that (hilarious?) mistake...

You didn't really mention why Silence - Lotto ended last - after all, they have good TT'ers in the team such as Cadel Evans. However, about 6 of the riders crashed half-way on the stage (including Evans). |

A news of the "Tour de Pologne"
The stage isn´t counted because the field stopped 5 KMs before the Finish Line
It rained a lot and the stage of 245KM was shortened by 40KM , but somehow the field decided to stop
There was a rider in the breakaway , after he was catched , Allan Davis informed him because of the stop |
