I'm starting to think appearing in those nike ads is some kind of curse. Ronaldinho, Drogba, Rooney, Ribery, Ronaldo, cannavaro.... |

According to some sources, the French players now refuse to show up at the training courses...
Duvene, the psychical trainer of the team, has left the camp, and the 'CEO' of the team, Jean-Louis Valentin, has quit his job. |

Why can not Norway play like Denmark?
the danish defense wasn't exactly something to envy, they were lucky it was Eto'o on the downside of his career and not someone like Klose or Forlan, they would have let in 3-4 goals.
Klose wouldn't have had many chances with help like this, he can't create chances on his own the way Eto'o can. Though Eto'o and Forlan both suffer from a weak team, where they have to act as offensive playmaker as well.
well in this game eto'o really didn't make many chances, the danish defense made a heap of them for him. |

There were also rumours of Gourcuff and Ribéry having a fight in the plane next to the Mexico match, the two were supposedly separated by Toulalan.
Evra's press conference yesterday was ridiculous too. He didn't bother about Anelka, everything is fine with him, the sole problem of the team is the one secretly talking to the press about what's going on.
Then you get quiet and intelligent people like Lloris and Toulalan who say they shut up instead of cracking up in the media because of what's going on inside the team.
Also Gallas and Ribéry might get punished for their behaviour and start on the bench against South Africa.
Most ridiculous national team ever ? At least we're competitive to get a price now. |

See, i thought that as well, but at that point of his career, wasn't his presence on the field mostly average?

I reckon he was still able to lead the team back then. Age shouldn't have prevented him from that. The way I see that's what they lack. A leader.

During his last seasons, yes, more or less, but during the WC he started playing very well again from the round of 8 till the finale. Ok, the finale didn't end well, but still...
Domenech had decided that just like a striker he wouldn't have to do any defensive duty, and would play much higher on the pitch than he used to. That plus his sudden new youth, and his technical skills, and he sent us to dominating the finale.
A couple of dives by Malouda helped us too, though. |

Well, NZ' goal wasn't 'deserved' either. Clear offside. |
