this is going to be exciting. at the top, there's only going to be about 20 left in the group |

he had his whole team bury themselves to shed the group...and now he's dropped...that's funny in a way

So many people have been dropped, but Rasmussen can still win, he came over the top after Soler. The Plateau de Beille may be a vital point in this years tour

I'd say Rasmussen's chances have actually increased. the race is going just the way it should for him: hard without changes of rhythm
now about 15 guys have gotten back on during the descent.
and Pereiro (who is in my book the only guy who can rival Savoldelli's descending skills) has attacked in the descent and has a gap. |

sorry i'm a bit late with this but i was having a BBQ yesterday, so please do you're best to excuse me
Rasmussen's ride yesterday was phenominal, i was expecting around 100th place for him but he managed 11th just shows what the yellow jersey can do if you wear it.
Vino's ride was also great owning everyone, and Wiggins' ride was great considering how bad he is up hills/mountains.
and today's stage so far:
Millar worked his arse off for Mayo, dropping like 50/60+ riders and Mayo gets dropped 10kms after Millar stops working
Millar must be pissed off.
Vino has obviously paid for his effort yesterday waving goodbye to the camera's and trying to get them to leave him alone.
Rabobank are doing phenominal work at the front, especially Dekker
i doubt Pereiro will stay away, it''l either be a breakaway win or Valverde sprinting from a group, Contador attacking, or Rasmussen attacking in my opinion

600m for the break to start the climb.
3 mins later the GC guys will get there and the fireworks will begin
I believe it's all about Evans, Rasmussen and Contador for today.
I'd like to see Sastre up front and recovered from his injury, but I doubt he is. |

yes i talked about Valverde possible winning, but i hope it doesn't come to a bunch sprint and hopefully sopemone will attack off the front (cue: Captain Obvious pic from isso)
i think Contador with his pure acceleration will get away, then i hope Evans and Rasmussen will do well as you say

well...I guess Sérgio Paulinho was right when he said Alberto had no way of keeping up his form.....this could however be a bluff.... |

Contador is still in the group but everyone is struggling to follow Popovych's insane pace, except Rasmussen and Evans

actually, the pace isn't really high. they're barely gaining on Colom who's been on the front the whole day.
no one is attacking because they're all afraid of busting and loosing ground to the others...
EDIT: at 6 km to go will be the steepest section. that's probably where the attacks will come
