TdF isnt for Menchov...he just cant be succesful there. I belive he's gonna go all the way in Giro..gonna left TdF for Dekker and be out again to protect Vuelta win...but who knows. Just speculating there.
For Sella hopes...good that guy has won this stage, he looked realy happy. But tomorrow he will be dead. A little stupid ride today..looking back all the time and pushing harder on the limit ..he had 3 min. lead |

Menchov has finally realised he does better when he's already done a grand tour before, although not always. which is why he's doing the Giro before the Tour.
he said he had no idea if his form was good or bad, but that he'd go for the best GC position he could possibly do.
it's hit or miss, really. I'd say there's a 50% chance this wears him out and a 50% chance he does really well at the Tour.
either way, the real surprise there will be Valverde. (but I'll explain my reasoning for that when the Giro ends )

Valverde surprise is TdF? Ok ..he must have some wicked plan for this year TdF...but Menchov should give up soon trying to get some TdF success..and give Dekker a chanche (go Ruben..)..Gesink should get year or two to be ready |

Simoni? Nah, he's too old, he's done. But on the other hand, I would never have predicted today's result, so we'll see. |

Pantani at Pampeago in 1999. Well. I like that more then the 'clean' climbing we saw today. Jesus christ how boring. I'd rather see them climb like pantani 99 |

MR: Hey Alberto, still on the stuff?
AC: No, it's planned for the Tour
MR: But your team is not in?
AC: Kazach government is working on it. Plus a new system for the Tour
MR: Cool, I had to do it all alone
AC: Respect
MR: Yeah and now I'll sue the bastards, haha
AC: Good one. Why don't you come to Astana after your suspension
MR: Who knows
AC: Goodbye, I have to invent some excuses for me not performing today
MR: Try saying you have allergies
AC: Ok, good one |

Seriously, doping or being clean has nothing to do with riders being coward or offensive.
I'd even say dope tends to kill the show, since it turns big boned helpers into climbers who can drop other teams leaders (DSC's TDF train...), also it helps the peloton against breakaways on the flat, just check the amount of successful breaks in GT flat stages before and after the EPO years. |
