sutty: They are, and there's quite a lot of them here Frown

Jakstar: Thanks Grin. I bet Cavendish is furious in the team bus after this...

Ian: I have it from Daily's 2012-DB for PCM11. It's v10 made by Nilserik. If you're lucky he might still have the files to convert for PCM12. There's some evry nice stages in here!

He so would be Grin

Stage 16: Istres – Narbonne

All reason says this should end in a bunch sprint, but how tired are the sprinters teams after a few hard days?

i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-161_zpsfe041689.jpg
Who would have thought. Vodafone can’t keep the break within reach even though they seem to try and with 50 km to go they have given up. The break has a gap of 15 minutes and that’s perfect for us as it will remove all the big points from the competition!
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-162_zps3fcdf126.jpg
With fast riders like Impey in the break Elmiger, Kiryinka and Leukemans know they have to go early. 18 km from the line could perhaps be a bit too early though?
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-163_zps9ba4861a.jpg
The Belarussian just manage to hold the others at bay and takes a surprising stage win.

Meanwhile Cavendish and Greipel pull out the big guns to fight for the few points left. Cavedish takes the maximum four points. One point short or reclaiming the jersey!

The game crashed going out of the stage, but nothing interesting outside the top-15 happened.

Stage 17: Lannemezan – Ascension de Posets

A hard mountain stage, but the intermediate sprint could come into real play none the less…

i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-172_zps00711f6a.jpg
Thor gets in the early break and easily wins the intermediate sprint. Sagan doesn’t even try helping his captain by stealing points.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-173_zpsd3155067.jpg
Going over Puerta di Vuelha Matzen and Riis put the pressure on the peloton hoping to shell some of the main sprinters out the back thus perhaps threatening them with the time-limit.
Mission accomplished as only 80 riders remain over the top and both Greipel and Cavendish are lost in a small group behind.
Hushovds breakaway companions still hold a four minute gap, but Thor is taking it easy now. After all he was only out there for the points.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-174_zps780f0c56.jpg
That Voeckler attacks on the small climb 37 km from goal can hardly surprise, but why are Andy Schleck joining him this early?
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-175_zpsd583157d.jpg
13 km to the top and Sylvain Chavanel has gone solo in front. He has 30 seconds to the closest followers and 2’40’’ to the peloton.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-176_zps0e464d97.jpg
On the 13-km mark Schleck tries again. This time with a proper attack. Along with Nibali, Gesink and De Gendt he gets almost two minutes before Contador decides to react.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-177_zps304f0121.jpg
What good is that when Alberto reels them back in looking just as relaxed as if he was eating a nice steak with a glass of wine.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-178_zpsb189f8de.jpg
As usual the Spaniard just rides away when he feels like it and no one sees him again before the podium ceremony.

Hansen is our fastest guy on the climb and Löfkvist shows once and for all that he is further from being a GC contender than he had hoped.

All riders came in within the time limit.

He keeps the overall points. Great job

You are holding 2 jerseys, that's really good
Winners never quit, quitters never win.

It's difficult not to be happy when you're surrounded by Belgians. - Mark Cavendish

Jakstar: Thanks, though I'd say it is probably more due to Vodafone doing a bad job on the flat stage Wink

PCM rulezz: Agreed Wink And nice to have you back Smile

Hansen looking comfortable in the Young Rider Competition Wink

TTspecialist
I am watching this story and prays to God like "Please God,let Jesper develop in my story like here, too, pleaseee", he clearly won it already,so congratulation for that! Smile

Alberto Domination Shock

Nice riding by Thor, getting every point possible!

Atlantius
sutty: He does, but the competition isn't really that tough either Wink

TTspecialist: I don't know how big his potential is in the 2013-DB, but he should become a decent climber at least. A sidenote is that I'm playing with a big evolution (0,8 at the moment I think) so he has reached his potential quite early.

Ian: Contador really does seem out of this world! And thanks - it's the only way we can hope to win the jersey (and it worked last year...)

Press Release

Time to reveal a three additional Norwegians for next years roster.

The Talent

Spoiler
We will start with the rider joining us first. Tobias Tonning is only 21 years old, but has already developed nicely. Especially in his TT-abilities, so we have given him a contract starting already in August, where we expect him to get a heavy program in the last few months of the season.

At this point he is on 5th place in the U23 rankings after a GC 3rd in Grand Prix de Portugal, a podium on a Giro delle Regione stage and a GC win in Tour de Berlin, where he won the TT.

A man for the future, but one we have very high expectations of!

The Climber

Spoiler
Seeing that we only had five riders left in the Tour going in to the last week it is quite obvious that we need some more strong climbers, therefore we are very happy to announce the signing of the strongest Norwegian climber at the moment: Vegard Stake Laengen.

www.nettavisen.no/multimedia/na/archive/00952/vegard_stake_lae_95204116x9.jpg

These last three seasons he has gathered experience on Team Type 1 – Sanofi with several good results but no big wins. We fell that he is now ready to take the final step up the ladder to the WT.

The Sprinter

Spoiler
It is no secret that bunch sprints are our week spot. The signing of EBH should help this, but he needs some strong help in the biggest races as well. For that we have signed Alexander Kristoff.

sport.aftenposten.no/multimedia/archive/00168/kristoff_168461o.jpg

He has some decent results from his time in Russia and will be given his own chances as well as acting as lead-out for Edvald in some races.

Nice to see that you have taken Vegard Stake Laengen on board Smile

Atlantius
TTspecialist: I hope so. Haven't had too much luck with sprinters this far, but hopefully that will change now...

Ian: Should be a good recipe for some strong sprints Wink

Jesleyh: Thanks, I'm quite happy about all three.

sutty: Well he is on paper the strongest Norwegian climber, so he was a major priority for me.

Tour de France

Stage 18: Saint-Girons – Col de Tentes-Bujaruelo Pass
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-181_zpsf86add21.jpg
Another terrifying mountain stage. Pretty much same recipe as yesterday.

i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-182_zps55740793.jpg
After yesterdays disappointment Thomas decided to go in the break today and is first to cross Peyresourde. Hushovd was part of the break but lost contact on the climb.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-183_zps8dedff63.jpg
Fortunately he is a great descender and gets in contact with the group in time to take the intermediate sprint. Now 41 pts between Hushovd and Cavendish.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-184_zps1b778e0a.jpg
Thomas is 2nd over the third mountain as Nicholas Roche has pulled away. Jesper Hansen is sitting right next to Contador in the favourites group.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-185_zps45d18da8.jpg
Going into the last 10 km Roche has 2 minutes to the next group. A group consisting of Nibali, the Schlecks and Contador, who have just joined them from behind.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-186_zps9b62cdc6.jpg
Final 2 km and the Irishman is passed by Fränk Schleck. Andy, Nibali and Contador are just starting to move a little more than a minute behind.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-187_zps996b1e3e.jpg
Fränk takes the stage while Contadors arrogant style cost a little time today. Does this mean that he is human after all?
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-188_zps52d4e39f.jpg
42 riders cross the line more than an hour after Schleck. Among them Cavendish.
Lucky for him only 14 riders are thrown out. Most prominently Terpstra, Farrar and Bennati. Cavendish was 6 positions away from abandoning!

Stage 19: Pau – Bagneres-des-Bigorre
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-191_zps0edf5764.jpg
A couple of big mountain here, but with a long descent in the end we will probably see a sprint finish from a small group. Either consisting of a strong breakway or the GC top.

i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-192_zpsa021e4e2.jpg
Pretty much nothing happens on Col d’Aubisque. Good for us as it allows Löfkvist to take the 20 points on the top, while Thor still has a good chance to take the intermediate sprint.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-193_zps826cc867.jpg
Levarlet attacks early on the descent and Thor joins him. As thanks for the great help on the descent the Frenchman let Thor take the intermediate sprint. That brings Thor 61 pts in front of Cavendish before Champs Elysses. This seems very possible by now…
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-194_zps39914f2e.jpg
A break takes care of the points on Tourmalet. Thomas tried to join them, but didn’t quite have the legs for it. Instead Jesper Hansen attacks 2 km from the top to show his jersey.
i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q675/AllanHG/Nordic%20Cycling%20Project/2014%20Volvo%20Stark/06-31-Tour-195_zps0f2d7146.jpg
Jesper can’t catch up with Brajkovic, who saves a slightly disappointing Tour by taking the stage.
He does win close to four minutes on the favourites and climbs a good few places in the GC though.

Contador
wins the sprint among the favourites just ahead of Löfkvist indicating that yesterday's signs of weakness was an on-off.
