Hi,
Let me introduce myself, I'm Dirk Lombaerts, younger brother of Eric, who you all know. He's arranged for me to join him at Lotto - Belisol as a trainee. Eric suggested I should get on this blog with him, and I reckon he's right. It couldn't hurt to get some more people to get to know me.
Name: Dirk Lombaerts
Date of Birth: 03/09/1993 (20 years old)
Height: 168cm
Weight: 61kg
Estimated Stats:
Flat | 67 | Mountain | 70 | Hills | 72 | Time Trial | 57 | Prologue | 63 | Cobblestones | 53 | Sprint | 67 | Acceleration | 73 | Stamina | 69 | Resistance | 73 | Recuperation | 75 | Fighter | 73 | Downhill | 78 |
As you see, I am already pretty advanced for my age. That's because I always was early developed. I'm a bit like my brother, but he's 1000 times better on the flat, while I have that powerful sprint he used to have in his early days. I, however, will keep on concentrating on that, instead of timetrialing. I'm better on shorter and steeper hills, but I can also ride more than decently on longer climbs. My brother is the greatest talent, though. I am certain I could never win a GT in my life. The best I can do is maybe (hopefully) a stage win in a GT, but that's for later.
I'll ride the Tour of Colorado, but I won't report on it. I'll start reporting next season, as I want to get used to all this on my own pace. But I wanted to introduce myself already. I'll see you in January, and I wish my brother the best of luck in Spain!

Does this mean you'll keep following?
I think the stats are better as well I'll also keep an eye on their evolution, if they'd raise too fast/slow, I can always adjust with Fast Editor |

Nice touch with the introduction on Eric's brother! Will they become the new Schlecks (without the doping of course...)?

@the_hoyle: Hmm, I hope not, because then Eric will never win I think they'll race quite some races together, but they're more individual than the Schlecks, they don't necessarily need each other to race well. Although I may see Dirk becoming Eric's lieutenant in his first pro years.
@Raggieman: Yeah, nothing we could do to keep him. So that means we have no one for the classics, we need to find a leader for there. Lotto is really falling apart here, Vanendert, Van Gent, De Clerq... |

This makes the story interesting again Ian. The death of Stijn was a big twist but this will make the story good again but on a more decent level. aka Stats

Yeah, I love this...
Although I did secretly expected something like this, because you asked a question how to edit your team, or something like that in the 'general' section.
Indeed better stats, but I would follow anyway... |
