Welcome to the ´queen stage´of this years Tour of Utah! As you can see, we´re expecting three hard climbs today. Especially the final climb might be the hardest. Oscar Sevilla is the current leader and I´m quite sure he will defend his jersey today, while he is the best climber by far. Our big goal for today is to bring Tejay Van Garderen in the best position for the final ITT tomorrow
Our team did a huge job today, keeping the pace as high as possible. Especially Martin Velits, Roulston and Goss accomplished the most leading work. After the breakaway was brought back to the pack, we were still able to ride a incredible speed, so no one was able to attack
With only 4 kilometres to go, we had only two riders in the first group. Van Garderen and his protector Craig Lewis! Because of the high pace in the end, the first group embraced only 18 riders. One by one couldn´t stay there anymore. Sevilla and Crawford were still in this group
And exactly the last one was starting an attack in the last 2,6 kilometres! Crawford had good legs today but is it enough to take the stage win?
Oscar the Sevilla was the only one, going after Crawford. The pace was too high, so nobody was able to attack, except Sevilla and Crawford
Van Garderen and Craig Lewis were not able to counter these attacks. They had to do a lot of work today, so their legs were tired. But anyway thanks to our team and especially Lewis, who helped Tejay a lot today!
Crawford saved a little gap to Sevilla but he wasn´t able to get a few seconds to him. Darren Lill finished as third
Van Garderen and Lewis came with more than 80 seconds behind Sevilla and Crawford which means that Crawford passed Tejay in the overall! But his advantage isn´t too big. So Van Garderen should be able to overtake him in the final ITT

You´re right..it´s another day and that means I´ll present you a new Columbia rider for 2011! This time we were able to get a pretty good talent from Austria. He´s already a great climber and I´m sure he´s becoming an amazing rider in a few years.
Let´s welcome Stefan Denifl
By the way, the transfers becoming better and better with every day

Even better?
Denifl improved massively. This guy can even win the Vuelta and he is just 22.
Looking forward for the more famous transfers. (Cancellara, Nibali, Contador? )
What a pity that you lost some time with Van Garderen, but still 3rd and I`m sure you can get the 2nd back in the timetrial. |

Yes even better, but I can tell you it´s not Cancellara, Nibali or Contador but still really strong riders..sorry but you have to wait until tomorrow |

Denfil has improved out of sight! A great signing.
As roturn said, Van Garderen can gain time in the TT. Fly V had a win. |

After many great news for our team and myself, we´ve got also bad news!
Tejay Van Garderen, one of the biggest talents, is going to leave the team. He signed for two years with Team Type 1! Hopefully he can improve there, so we can bring him back to Columbia someday. But first of all he will ride the Vuelta for Columbia
Bye, bye Tejay

With a few hilly parts, this stage could be really interesting. We really hope, all sprinters are able to come through but it might be harder as we think
Unfortunately the game crashed after the stage finish. Our main sprinter Mark Renshaw wasn´t able to sprint for the stage win as he was quite tired after a few hilly parts. But we had still Eisel who is in an amazing shape for the Vuelta so far! Eisel was unbelievable fast on the last 3 kilometres and everything looked like he´s the stage winner. But then came Fabian Cancellara from behind with an incredible acceleration. 3 metres in front of the finish line, he passed Eisel and won the stage. Unlucky, just unbelievable unlucky stage for Eisel. But if someone told me before that stage, Eisel is on the podium, I would be happy. Anyway a great stage for us..but Cancellara got his 3rd stage win and another time bonification so it´s going to be very hard to stop him

Last stage in Utah and that means last chance for Van Garderen to improve his overall position. Crawford won the ´queen stage ´yesterday on an impressive way. But he isn´t a good time trialist so Tejay might be able to overtake him today. Sevilla, the overall leader, is unbeatable while his advantage on Van Garderen is 1 minute and 43 seconds. Today´s favourites are especially Taylor Phinney, Phil Zajicek and our captain Tejay Van Garderen, who is going to leave our team in 2011
Phil Zajicek was the first one, setting a really good time. But is it good enough to take the stage? Up to here he´s in front with 24´29
Taylor Phinney was the biggest favourite for today but maybe his legs were not good enough. His time is really good but he wasn´t able to beat Zajicek! But still a nice result for the young American 24´42
Next one was Darren Lill. Well, after his amazing performance yesterday when he crossed the finish line as 3rd behind his team-mate Crawford and Sevilla, he managed to get a nice time for his conditions. He only lost 35 seconds to the current leader
Crawford was really motivated when he could see Van Garderen in front of him (sorry forgot to take a screenshots of his race). Well, as I already told you, Crawford isn´t a good time trialist. And exactly this was the reason he lost 30 seconds to Van Garderen which brought us the second place in the overall
Oscar Sevilla had an easy ride today as he knew that no one would be able to stop him, except a crash. He also lost 9 seconds to Tejay but it doesn´t matter in the end

The next flat stage is another chance for the great sprinters in the pack. Tom Boonen seems to be really strong at the moment just like Ciolek and of course Fabian Cancellara whether he isn´t a real sprinter. Hopefully Eisel and Renshaw are able to get a nice result today
Again the game crashed, I´m sorry for that! But except a crash of Fabian Cancellara nothing really exciting happened! Cancellara was down, but the crash was within the last 3 kilometres so he lost no important seconds. Our team wasn´t that lucky today, because we were not able to build a good sprint train just like a few stages before. Anyway Renshaw could get a nice result, finishing on the 6th place and with 3 riders in the top 10 we can be quite happy. In principle there were only two guys, sprinting for the stage win. The fight between Gerald Ciolek and Tom Boonen was really great to watch! Boonen was in front for a long time but Ciolek came out of his slipstream and passed Boonen on the last metres! Congrats to the German sprinter, he deserves it very much

Ciolek is a big talent but you´re right he wasn´t able to show it so far in real life..maybe next year!? By the way, does anybody know, for which team he´s sprinting next year? |

Wow, they also got Chicchi back! But I don´t think Gerald has to work for Tommeke..maybe Boonen for Ciolek
Well, I´m really looking forward to this next season...with Boonen, Chicchi and Ciolek they become a good sprinter team |
