Shall I tell you something funny?
I thought that Alakagom was a girl in the first weeks that I was on this forum.
Why? I don't have any clue. Maybe because he had a avatar with a girl or I thought Alakagom sounded like a female nickname. I just don't know
Sorry Alak

I remember that Isso is in his 80s.
And I remeber there was once one girl on this forum. She tried to start some kind of gy vs. girl game and was shut out.

And I've been 12 years old for a decade or two now. Sometimes I'm even 6, but arguably, most of those times I'm not on the forum.
Seriously, last Saturday again, at a running race, a guy told me I still had plenty of time to achieve a better performance (see in The Runners Thread for more detail on that), since I'm still espoir. Once I made him start doubting that I'm maybe not an espoir (U23) anymore, he admitted I was maybe 23, or 24.

I joined when I was 15, and I thought this was an online game site, until I figured out there really was a cycling game out there.
My dream was for someone to build an actual bike with a screen and you could ride yourself in a game, but I doubt that will ever happen.

I guess it could, the day PCM will use power profile figures instead of various stats (that'd actually be easy once they'd have figured it out), then you could pedal and produce your own Watts to make your rider ride in the pack.
But most likely, given it's called Pro Cycling Manager, most of us cyclists wouldn't be able to stay in the peloton very long, and probably most forum users wouldn't be able to play at all. |

A game where you'd have to pedal at 50km/h for 6 hours?
Nooo

You could change it a little bit to make it more user friendly, were not riding in the alps or anything

It should have a start up screen to test your abilities and base the difficulty off those results so everybody would have a challenge to their needs. I would totally buy that game.

Somewhere, c.a. 2000, I was still in high school, doing studies + sport (cycling), so I passed effort tests, with my mates, and we used a doctor's bike to do that, that he carried in his minivan.
The funny thing with the bike was that it could be used for other stuff than effort tests. You could climb a dozen of mountain pass, including Alpe d'Huez (which I tried, IIRC), and you'd see the profile on the computer screen. The power of the brake on the rear wheel varied with the (virtual) slope.
It was quite funny (as long as you think suffering on a bike to go up mountains is funny). |

Would it have a pre-order pack with extra content such as a do-it-yourself EPO-kit?

They got the tour de France training bike, and you can ride any road, now just turn that into a game, and I would buy it!

I think throwing in a few Conta steaks would be easier.
