Maybe, but who knows what Lance does with his teammates when they're not slaving at the Tour |

Hmm...I allways thought Lance's teammates did look a bit pale before the TdF... |

Stumbled upon a comment from DS of Columbia, Brian Holm: "Boasson Hagen is a unique talent. I've never seen anyone with so much power, and if he loses c. 3 kg, he's beginning to look like a future Tour de France winner". |

I saw the same, but I didn't bother to post it because I'm norwegian
It's a very interesting comment though, and if he and Team Sky wants to make a GC-man out of him I think it's possible to be a top10 in TdF. But I think he has to decide it totally himself, and in those interview I have seen of him , it doesn't look like he wants to be a GC-man, it looks like he thinks the classics are more exciting, more prestigous to win (than doing a top10 in TdF).
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the future! |

Boasson Hagen will reach +80 in almost all stats, that's what PCM 06 says. So he will rule.

It's true, he can become a Tour de France GC contender. But he'd have to completely change his diet and training and thus lose any chance of doing even marginally well in anything that isn't a stage race.
And all that for an unknown quantity.....he'd risk leaving all that behind to become a top 20 on GC guy.
If I had his talent the decision would be easy for me: stick to the classics and do my best to become one of the defining riders of this generation.

And I seriously doubt his climbing capabilities, when you get dropped (he was almost the worst) in the lead group of the ENECO Tour on the Doodeman, (1km 9%) by ..Joost Posthuma.
Yeah he came back after the climb, but still. This was not the only sign.
He might become decent in hilly classics one day, but for now he isn't, and to become a climber, he'd still have to improve loads and loads and loads. |

Yeah, but he did show in the Giro, especially on the first mountain stage (Di Luca won) that he can climb, he was actually capable of following, but with 1.5-3 (don't remember exactly) he dropped because he wanted to save energy to help Lövkvist in the GC. And he said after the stage that it was a mistake to drop off from the favourite group that day. I'm not saying that his performance on some of the mountains in the Giro makes him a great climber, I'm just saying that he has showed that he actually has the capability to climb well, and then I also mean that if he really wants to be a good climber and a great GC-guy it's possible. |

Yup, but that was on a non-steep climb which suited him perfectly.
It's almost the same as with Boonen years back, when a lot of people (mainly Belgians ofcourse) believed he could become a GT contender or LBL winner if he dropped kilo's. In fact, there are a lot of similarities between Boonen and BHF, except for the fact that BHF is not an arrogant coke-sniffing asshole. |

What does the F stand for in BHF?

Big Hunk of Flesh
Ruben's gay, didn't you know that?
The manlove for Dekker should've been a dead giveaway, really.
