If Hushvold along with the rest of the sprinters had actually attempted to beat Cavendish fair and square for the past couple of weeks and had actually gone first on a couple of days Columbia could never even think about trying something so elaborate. Yet instead of being rewarded for there ingenuity, they are punished and now know the Green Jersey is no longer in there hands.
Evidently the judicary was getting uppity about the sprinters teams actually trying to take things into there own hands and wanted to reign them back in like they've done with the GC teams this year.

Yeah I know he said that, but the jury said they handled the case before they got Cervelos complain....Thats what I've heard....But of course, I'm norwegian with norwegian TV, so it could be that they have manipulated a bit.....But thats what they said in the news here; that the decision to disqualify Cav was taken without the complain from Cervelo. |

Hushovd arrogant? Hmm, I remember his fan base in Belgium, he even visits and drinks with those guys. Doesn't seem like an arrogant guy to me.
But hey, I said the same about Dekker. Even arrogant nice can be normal and nice to other people apart from the press |

Yeah Rinhoth, Hushovd is an ass, but what top sprinter can you/we (not sure what to write here) cheer for then? We would have to settle with slower riders really...

This is a hard discussion. I do agree with Cav's disqualification. However, I must accept I may be biased. But, again, with Cavendish who can't be biased? If you're British, you support him for being British. And if you aren't, you don't like him for being an ass.

I don't see him as very arrogant either, and I see his interviews all the time. His problem is that the Norwegian media hype him so much that he just has to play with it a bit. In the first week of the Tour, he also praised Cav and said they were friends and all. Today he said Cav has completely stopped talking to him after he earned the green jersey in stages 6 and 8... |

All in all, Hushovd is a great guy all the way through.
But he has the typical sprinter-mentality. A short temper (as he demonstrated both today and after yesterdays stage) and quite an ego. It`s one of the things that make him a good sprinter. But it also gives him a bit of a bad image in the media. |

The only thing I wonder is which team will have the biggest party tonight: Cervelo, Garmin, AG2R, Silence or Katusha. It will rock tonight at Besançon.

Why Silence?
And about Hushovd, arrogant is your moms! (not yours Ildabaoth)
Hushovd has the same right to take the green jersey as cavendish. Like biathlon said it is a points jersey, not "who wins more stages" jersey. |

Because it seems Silence chased for a while in some kind of a revenge for the Hincapie-Cancellara/Evans incident during the breakaway of the 8th stage.

Just came back and saw Cavendish was relegated.
Stupid decision. They don't do it when it's called for, but do it when there's no reason for it?
Stupid. |

Could decide the competition aswell. Hushovd has about 20 points on Cav now or so.
