Very interesting, perhaps your forgetting that Eddy Merckx, like almost every other great cyclist, had positive doping tests.

The L'Équipe story kadel mentioned about more positives before the tour?
"between 4 and 7 positives, from Romandie and Suisse"
Interesting. Maybe they really do have that new test that they say they have... |

*does logical assumptions*
If Merkcx was doped... And everyone that were worse than Armstrong was doped...
*lightbulb*
That means Armstrong must have been doped too...

Three times, actually.
Still nowhere close to Armstrong's 7 positives from the 99 Tour. |

Turns out Dekker's "I have a letter from the UCI saying my blood values are normal" is bullcrap.
What the letter in fact says is, basically something similar to "your tests of the year 2008 don't hold results that can be considered a positive dope test" |

Also they can retest samples 8 years back on base of suspicion. So...if the UCI are doubting Armstrong so much, why not retest samples from 2003 to 2005?
Oh well.. |

So what the hell are they doing then? |

Not enough left to be used for a B sample in case he orders it. That's the sole reason why he's not suspended.

Oh well..
Because they don't want him to get caught. The UCI is corrupt, that's a fact.

Thats what I thought aswell... I think UCI is afraid of destroying cycling by catching Armstrong. |

Armstrong is very popular amongst ppl who know less of cycling, he is kinda the same as Merckx, they wanna have another legend.

Well if they are so concerned with legends, then in that case they might as well let Dekker ride and have a Dutch legend and promote the sport in Holland. That just makes no sense to me. Or maybe they see more in Gesink and protect him. No, that makes even less sense. I don't believe in such conspiracy theories.
I think they are rather clueless. That's all. |

It's been well documented that certain teams (such as Quickstep) have insiders who tell them when they'll be tested. |

I don`t wan`t to start another Lance-is-obviously-doped-discussion, but wheter you are doping or not has nothing to do with dumbness...
With all the medicaments on the market to hide doping and all forms of it that can`t even be detected, the changes of Armstrong getting caught are close to zero (if he should decide to dope).
And even if he was caught, what should ASO do? Tell the world that the guy who won their race seven years in a road was doped? That`s suicide.
Lance can dope as much as he`d like to. In fact, even as sad as it sounds, he`d be stupid if he did not dope. |
