Stage 3
that was stage witch one crashed just after finish..and I was ready to play it again after realy intresting stage. But race did count..so what I have ..here it is.
This is about 55km. to go when two Liquigas guys atacked away from peloton.,Smydt and Stangelj.
Before that hugh breakaway group was getting away before the start 12-13 riders. We managed to get Rodrigues in there..
After Liquigas weird double atack witch was chased down Contentpolis guys tryed he's double breakaway. Martinez, Palomares.
When he had 30km to go..and breakaway had over 2min. advantage left. Rodrigues decided to atack away from breakaway group. he managed to get away with two riders..when last climb started he managed do drop them. Finsih was close..this is started to look as real close situation.
inside last km..Rodrigues was still at the front. But he was realy tired...and uphill finish was not helping at all. Favorites started to spint Moncoutie, Blanco, Kessiakoff , Guerra, Jufre. only Kessiakoff just managed to pass Rodrigues before the line 2nd. for Rodrugues.
Next will be normal report.

Stage 3
Castel San Pietro - Faenza
Sprinters day in Italy..
60 to go..Noe , Duran atack...nothing serious , they come back moment later.
Mr. Crash...Pietropolli is down again. He crashed in stage one also when he had in lead group.
Pinto is ready for sprint..he follows Cooke train...
Problems ISD rider Oscar Gatto cant follow anymore..and Pinto in trouble now because Cooke and Colli sliping away.
Colli opens the sprint.he passes Cooke..Palumbo is coming at the left side. Pinto hasnt giving up yet.
last km. Colli has a solid lead ..Cooke is still waiting!
and here comes Cooke..he is realy fast. this is gona between Colli, Cooke and Palumbo.
Cooke takes stage win..that was great- experienced rider sprint. Pinto 5th. not that bad..but he probably was expecting more.
Di Luca continues has tour leader with 1 sec. lead over Plaza. We have two stages to go. One then is for climbers.

Stage 4
Laguna de los Peces
Queen stage. Team leader Guerra should but all out today..
69,1km to go..Deignan and Szmydt atack...
other side at the same hill in descent..Loosli crashes. He is ok to continue
Gomez Marchante opens the last climb..he go's first.
Then Pacheco and Jufre.
But no need to be worried about. Rabobank pulling hard enough to drag them all back. We have 10km. to go.
Then Kessiakoff, Blanco and Garcia. Where is Blanco there should be Guerra. This is personal..
..and here he comes,Blanco after noticed that Guerra is coming atacking again..
Clement is coming ...this is a little surprise.
Perez Arrieta passing Guerra..Kessiakoff is to fast he is getting away. At the moment he passes last breakaway guys Miholjevic and Spilak.
Kessiakoff leading..then Perez Arrieta...then Guerra, Clement and Blanco
Guerra passing Perez Arrieta..good one. Now after Kessiakoff.
Blanco has power to atack one more time..he passes Guerra. great climbers battle.
and inside last km. Kessiakoff will take a stage..But at behind there is still all open..Blanco has opened the gap..
But now..Guerra has something left. He comes back and get same time with Blanco.
Kessiakoff he is leader on every category..GC, points, KOM

Bruseghin trying to follow. Plaza is trying to keep he's head cool. Second atack in the row..will finish him. He need to continue with own speed.
Di Luca has cought last breakaway rider Kiserlowski..Plaza has Noe on he's backwheel and has find a rythm.

As a Swede, it's good to see Kessiakoff getting results. He obviously doesn't have 56 MO here, what're his stats? :-) |

Just got all caught up. Great story. First ever story I read on pcmdaily.com was a Guido Mukk story back in 2007 (can't recall which one). Got me interested in stories. Glad to see still such high quality. If my story was 50% as good, I'd be happy. |

Silence Lotto, that's right. Now I remember. You managed to win the Tour with Evans if I recall. Even ran him pretty well in the Vuelta, I think (or maybe I am imagining that part). |

Stage 2
Ferreira do Alentejo - Montemor-o-Novo
Last warm up before decisive TT..
Windy day..Plaza safe at the front..
Liberty is controlling the race..I was nervous, because last time when I have to control the race "ghost" Pacheco get hugh advantage..and was already also tour overall winner.
Liberty was controlling well enough the race before the final short climb breakaway group was cought. atack..Palomares and Piet Rooijakkers. Plaza should follow..for just check it out. To keep control...
..and here he is with Moreno...
after hill top they are waiting..Plaza wont want to go..but if some will go..he will follow. Moreno atacking again..
Piet Rooijakkers and Plaza follows..Palomares looking around and waiting main pack..mistake?
..then "ghost" Pacheco coming..
Skil team captain decided to go all out today and take time advantage..Plaza just follows..
..last km..
..and finish....stage win and tour lead for Piet Rooijakkers. Plaza did not even tryed to pass him (he's day is tomorrow).Piet did all the work..
Cardoso is fastest in main group..and keeping the points jersey.
New tour leader Piet Rooijakkers Skil - Shimano
Manuel Cardoso and points classification leader...
