I think it is better for you to continue on hard. Also good win. Normal or not, Van Vooren is not so good. You made great thing whit your team continue. |

Stage 3
Queen stage of race and at the same time my first stage played on extreme level. How will my riders deal with hard climb into finish, very strong wind and increased difficulty by two levels?
Early breakaway group, Darren Lapthorne is part of this break.
Due to strong wind peloton began to split, Austrian teams Vorarlberg and ELK Haus with the biggest favourites Van Huffel and Denifl are in front, whilst my team has just lost control over situation.
Lapthorne attacks leading group in one of climbs and continues alone in front.
Many of attacks followed when finish was getting closer. Sep Vanmarcke looks like my strongest man today and counters Gottfried´s attack.
Situation in last climb. E1 Lapthorne, E2 Van Huffel with his team mate Reto Hollenstein, E3 about fifteen riders including Denifl, Gottfried and Vanmarcke. Peloton is more then minute back.
Van Huffel shows his power and goes over Lapthorne.
Vanmarcke looks still good, but not so good as Denifl, who has jus caught Lapthorne as well. Van Huffel is already far ahead.
It´s clear that Van Vooren will loose his jersey after stage.
Van Huffel wins the stage and takes yellow jersey as well!
Denifl is 2nd today and 2nd overall...
...ahead of Gottfried and Lapthorne. Sep Vanmarcke takes respectable 6th place, moving up to 4th place in GC just behind Van Vooren. We still hold prime places in overall classification!

Stage 4
This stage is classified as flat, but have hill shortly before finish followed by modest downhill and so we won´t probably see bunch sprint.
Huge breakaway group.
Group was caught just before top of hill, Tom Barras tries his luck once more.
And now it´s time for excellent downhiller Steven Van Vooren. Will his sudden attack work on extreme level too?
He catches Barras just before sprint...
...goes over him...
...and takes another win!!!

Third stage victory for Van Vooren means, that only thing, which can take away sprinter jersey is his own withdrawal. Last stage contains many short but steep hills, main goal will be hold podium place in GC. |

thanks guys, my first win on extreme level ever
I must say I haven´t recognized many differences between hard and extreme on this kind of stage/race. I will probably try to continue on extreme level in my career, just for curiousity how I will be "successful" in higher-rating races |

Maybe we can say it "bold", but in any case it is more challenging for me, as I am very combative man |

Stage 5
Last stage of Norway Tour.
20km to go, big group of favourites in front, Van Vooren is only rider from TOP10 missing.
Penultimate climb, Gottfried attacks, Muller and Hegreberg counters!
Heavy fall of Mads Christensen whilst he tried to catch escapees. Luckily for me, Sep Vanmarcke avoid crashing closely.
Vanmarcke joins leading group just before last climb.
Another good news, Steven Van Vooren joins Van Huffel´s group!
Last km, noone stop leading group, Hegreberg opens sprint.
But Gottfried exploits his position and flies forward with Vanmarcke on his tail.
Alexander Gottfried is today´s winner, ahead of Vanmarcke and Hegreberg. Another great result for my team. Where is Van Huffel? His advantage over Vanmarcke was 1'31" before stage..
He finishes just ahead of Van Vooren with 1' loss and keeps his overall victory!

Race is over and I must say I´m very proud of my team. This was stunning success here in Norway! Let me count: 3 stages wins, 2nd and 5th place overall, sprinter jersey, U25 jersey and 1st in team rankings....great results!
Now we are moving to Canada, where we´ll join another 2.2 stage race - Tour de Beauce. Same squad, extreme level, I´m looking forward it!
PS: I haven´t experienced with June bug here!
