20 minute! Wow! I never see it in PCM. The best breakaway that I have ever see his 12 minutes. |

I don't think that he won 20 minutes with just one breakaway, he probably went to many breakaways. |

It is possible, but take and keep a good overall position, the other favorite will not let you go away. |

Chavanel attacked twice in the last week. First he got nine minutes, and moved up to 7. Then he got 11 minutes in another break (the stage to Alpe d'Huez) and he defended himself in the last timetrial |

It's really sad that we lost Simoni. Caisse d'Epargne has made a Monopoly for the stars, and got Vandevelde and Valjavec too. Astana hasn't been worse, as they signed the TT horse Millar and Mauricio Soler. I will post the riders our team signed later today.

Transfer news
Frattini is our first signing. He will be one of our sprinters. The question is, is he strong enough to stand the distances?
Next up is Victor Moreno. He’s a promising timetrialist from Venezuela, and if this team need something, it’s time trialists.
Tomás Gil is an old rider, but he will be a valuable teammate in the stage races. He’s a typical all-rounder.
Forero may be our most important signing. He’s a great sprinter who’s very good at timetrialing too.
Abrescia is a young time trial talent that our scout found. Our scout estimated him to have a great future.
Pagoto is a young and good rider. He will be very important for me, as he’s a very good hilly rider.
Well, we haven’t signed some really big names, but we’ll make a nice squad either way. The departure of Simoni has weakened the team, and now we’ll have to rely on Scarponi to perform well in the GT’s. |

G.P. Nobili Rubiterrenie
Hilly circuit today. This is my terrain!
Just like Di Luca and Pozzovivo, I was sitting in the front of the pack.
The attacks started on the second-to-last climb. A group of five went. Mori and Impey are there. But they are chased down.
It’s the steepest section of the last climb, and I’m launching an attack! Responds are coming from behind, Di Luca counters…
We’re going down to the finish. I’m sitting with Pozzovivo, Di Luca, Kuschynski, Carlström and Pardilla. This may be my chance to win…
But I wasn’t strong enough, and Di Luca won. Anyway, a nice result by me and my form is improving. I hope to be in top shape for the worlds.
Results:
1 Danilo Di Luca LPR Brakes Farnese Vini 4h58'59
2 Aleksandr Kuschynski Liquigas s.t.
3 Domenico Pozzovivo CSF Group - Navigare s.t.
4 Francesco Ginanni Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni - Androni Giocattoli s.t.
5 Sergio Pardilla CarmioOro - A-Style s.t.
6 Kjell Carlström Liquigas s.t.
7 Daniel Andonov Madeinox Boavista + 31
8 Mauricio Soler Barloworld s.t.
9 Luca Paolini Acqua & Sapone - Caffé Mokambo s.t.
10 Filippo Savini CSF Group - Navigare s.t. |

4th, good result! Di luca, Aleksandr Kuschynski and Pozzovivo are just better in sprint, to bad. Finish in the first groups is very good. |
