Things seem to be shaping up now. Stage 12 is a Il Falco stage. I have a feeling Simoni is waiting for the Zoncolan. 12 will be sort of the final cleansing of the gc.
With 12 downhill finish, 13 the mtn ITT, 15 uphill finish, 17 zoncolan, 20 ITT.
I'd have to say Savoldelli is in great shape. Cunego, saving energy or did he really look sort of not up to snuff today at the end? I didn't think he looked too strong. Di Luca seems to be really trying to get as much time as he can and doing a good job of doing that. After 12, we'll have a better picture. |

i think Di Luca has put his effort in too early, i've never even thought of him coming close to winning the Giro before this year, though
but i think that Savo has enough to win, and as Phanekim said he is in great shape |

Incredible by Schleck. I did not expect him to do ths well. The next week will show if he has also got the depth. |

Hopping for thursday. That downhill is perfect for Savo. This Giro is getting better and better. Andy vs Ricco; Petacchi vs McEwen and Napolitano and a amazing fight between the GC contenders. Wating for more.. |

I think stage 15 will be the stage that absolutely blows everything apart. As for Di Luca, i believe he will fade in the stretch. And someone earlier commented on how Cunego looked weak but he had a good ride. Although the others beat him he paced himself up and passed a couple of big names in the last kilometer. At this point, I would love to see Popo/Simoni/Cunego battle it out. Its been a great Giro so far. |

Great stage today! Di Luca is for real this time guys. The only guy i would have thought that has enough oomph to stop him is cunego, but cunego doesn't seem to have the legs. Di luca could win this whole tour! |

Di Luca seems very stable at the moment. And his nearest contender at the moment is Andy Schleck who with his young age must have to crack at some time. It seems like a win for Di Luca, but anything can happen. |

yup...anything can happen....I remember two years ago, by this stage, everyone was convinced it was a basso shut in...the year before that it was Simoni who was 99% likely to take it
in 2003...oh, you get the point |

Andy Schleck keeps impressing me. The on ly porblem - as CrueTrue mentions - is that his is likely to lack the depth. But i yhink he will make top 10. |

Well if theres any realism in PCM, DI Luca will win it by 18 seconds over Cunego, with Caucchioli 3rd many minutes back. Its doutful though and I dont think DI Luca will win it, and Caucchioli definately wont be 3rd. |

Dave Zabriskie is said to be looking to try to race for position on the GC. |

But as it is now, he will probably have to work for Andy Schleck. Especially because most of the CSC team has quitted |

I have also been really impressed with Schleck. I guess they weren't kidding when they said he is a bigger talent than his brother.

Popovych also dropped out today as his injuries were great enough to cause pain and if he didn't stop the doctors warned him he would only mess up the rest of his career. The Giro peleton is now down to less than 159 riders last i checked... Di Luca looks invincible but im just waiting for him to crack. |

he is showing himself today, with 104kms to go, on the 1st climb
(from eurosport) "Caucchioli, Rubiera, Rasmussen, Bettini and Schwab break clear and hare off in pursuit of Krauss. Piepoli, Bonnaire and Sella follow them."
he's got himself in a very nice group, so you never know
EDIT: with 95kms, to go the gap has grown to 1.40, for the Bettini group
