Caisse've launched their new site. It's well done. I particularly like the "crossed portraits" bit where if you go into each rider's bio page, there's video of other riders on the team talking about what they think of that particular rider

I bet Ricco is either riding for Serramenti or Acqua Sapone next year, and he will probably ride at the same level he did before his doping ban, just like Scarponi and Basso |

Kurt Hovelynck (Quickstep) fell during training today. He will remain in the hospital for now; it is not yet known when he can go home. He has injuries to his skull. I don't know the English translation, in Dutch it's called "schedeltrauma"

Nah, he was at that level due to a drug that most didn't dare use. But yeah, he'll be at a random italian team....Acqua & Sapone, Diquigiovanni, Lampre or Liquigas....or some other team that shows up in the meantime.

Well, I don't think we should get ahead of ourselves with Riccò participating in the Giro - he may be eager to get to run it, but who says the circumstances won't deny him? There's a lot of factors such as finding a contract (wildcard --), the awkward time he enters the season and his form.
Imo it seems a tad unlikely that he'll make it to the start.
Goldberger* maybe that's because everyone else was doped back then but are now, supposedly, clean The level has fallen a bit since they were at their prime and I think that's why they find less difficulty in keeping up the pace now. However, we haven't really seen Basso for real yet.
If that's not it we can only hope they earned it by training their ass off.

Nah, in 2005, Skil and Shimano were different teams Skil-Shimano is the follow up of Shimano, not a fusion between Skil-Moser and Shimano... |

no Ballan in MSR, Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix
he suffers from the citomegalievirus which affects the immune system
now he has to rest and probably will start training again in 3-4 weeks |

That's a real shame.
Won't get to ride any of 'his' races in the rainbow jersey.

I hate it how injuries always destroy my wielerprono.be team :x
Ofcourse I pick the usual suspects and 2/3 suprises. And then it's the usual suspects who suddenly have a terrible start and I have to do with the 2/3 suprises |
