March 2009
We´ll join just two races - one day race Clasica de Almeria and our first (and maybe last) Pro Tour race, Paris - Nice.
Clasica de Almeria
I managed my team in MTN Giro del Capo so I couldn´t be with the other and simmed this race And my team failed, Medina was the best, but he took only 71st place.

Paris - Nice
And he it is. Our first Pro Tour race! Our squad is again all together. Riders has already passed their peak of condition in this period, so it will be very difficult to gain some good results. Maybe we should try to join some early breakaway and gain some KOM points. Or even to try ti succeed in some stage, but peloton is really very strong here.

Stage 2
This is flat stage with one small hill in the middle. We´ll try send our rider into break (probably Medina or Vasquez), our main goal is to fight for KOm jersey.
Medina joins breakaway group as planned.
And he wins mountain sprint and takes polka dot jersey!
Escapees were caught and Tom Boonen wins the sprint. Grabsch still hold yellow jersey.

Stage 3
200km long stage is almost flat, but last about 40km is hilly with some mountain sprints. We´ll try to hold KOM jersey, but it will be probably very hard.
Tristan Valentin went almost 150km in solo ride, but is just about catch close before 2nd summit.
Sandy Casar attacks in last downhill!
Jens Voight attacks, Kirchen and Chavanel counters!
Casar was caught by trio, Voight looks very strong today. There is nice gap between group and peloton.
But Kirchen is the fastest in the sprint. Voight is new race leader.

Stage 4
Hard hilly stage with 5 mountain sprints. Medina will try to attack and gain some points. Depends on daily form Rujano should join decisive attack in last and hardest climb.
Manuel Medina takes some points in two early mountain sprints.
Young Czech star Roman Kreuziger attacks in the bottom of last climb - Col de la Croix de Chaubouret. Moncoutie and other big names counters. Rujano decides to stay in pack as he doesn´t feel good today.
Front group is on last summit.
Yaroslav Popovych attacks! Sheeps around the road are thrilling.
Karpets, Casar, Moncoutie and Kreuziger attacks! Popovych is still in front.
Popovych is the winner ahead of Kreuziger and Casar. Voight holds yellow jersey, but only by seconds ahead of Popovych and Casar!

Stage 5
Definitely queen stage of race with finish at Station du Mont Serein Mont Ventoux. The question of the day is - will Jens Voight hold his yellow jersey? I doubt about it, but we´ll see...
Manuel Medina wins early mountain sprint. Unfortunately that´s only positive moment for our team today...
Mont Serein is here, 6 non-important riders are in front and we can see first attack from peloton - Jens Voight!!
And now it´s time for Alejandro Valverde!
He catches Voight, only Tjallingii is still ahead. Peloton is down about 45sec.
V+V goes over Tjallingii, peloton is still calm, Astana boys still sets the pace.
Peloton is splitting, fans with woodden clubs are ready for lynch V+V are still together in front.
Jens Voight is struggling...
...and is caught by group of favorites. Valverde is in front alone.
Rodriguez attacks!
But too late, Alejandro Valverde is the winner! Rodriguez is the second, it´s double for Caisse d´Epargne! And great tactics from Jens Voight, his first attack stunned some opponents and he hold yellow jersey for another stage!

Stage 6
Manuel Medina will try to gain some more KOM points.
Medina tried to break several times, but without success. Sebastian Langeveld won all mountain sprints today and is only one point from polka dot jersey.
Saxo team dominant today in sprint, 1st Arvesen, 2nd Breschel, 3rd Voight!

Stage 7
Early breakaway, Manuel Medina missed his chance to join in after first mountain sprint.

Stage 8
Last stage of race is here! Stage is relatively short, but with some hard climbs. Jens Voight and his mates will must work very hard to hold yellow jersey. And our team? We´ll try to alive
Breakaway group works good in front...
...but later on, they are caught and Alejandro Valverde attacks!
And is pursuing by small group, yellow jersey is there! But Jens Voight MUST catch Valverde if he wants to win!
Valverde is first, but Voight has same time in finish and become winner of Paris - Nice! And look, there is a second group and Jose Rujano is there! Finally some good result for us. Rujano moves from 38th to 24th position in GC!

May 2009
We are here after long break for at least one short stage race, Clasica de Alcobendas. Only six our man will join, as Rujano and Medina is preparing for second half of season. We have no real chance to influence top positions here without our leaders, but want to try some respectuble results here.145 riders is here, main favourites are R.Plaza, LL Sanchez, Soler, Zaballa, Candido Barbosa or Igantiev from Katusha.
Stage 1
Real race starts about 40km to finish, Ruben Plaza attacks!
And we can see attack from Zaballa here, Pires and LL Sanchez counters!
And it´s time for Soler, who attacks in steep climb!
LL Sanchez and Plaza work together in front, group of chasers are in sight.
Less then 5 km to go and there is group of 6 man in front, Plaza, LL Sanchez, Soler, Barbosa, Zaballa, last man is Veloso.
Very close sprint, Mauricio Soler takes victory!

Stage 2
Front group is near 2nd summit.
At the same time Veloso, Camano, Barbosa and Shimizu attack!
Later on they catch front group.
Pires, Zaballa, Tonti and Soler attacks main group, but it seems to be too late.
Shimizu wins the sprint! I couldn´t believe it, but although there was quite big gap between front group and chasers, they all are classificied with same time. Soler hold yellow jersey and even extends his lead, Veloso must be very frustrated...

I´m nor satisfied with my team´s performance, we were invisible, only Chacon tried his luck in stage 2. Sponsors won´t be happy either.
