Giro is unplayable. Let me explain why:
gene_f_mountain for Giro 09 mountain stages (haven't checked other races) is set at 0. It should be set at 1.
0 -> the mountain stat counts ZERO per cent, the HILL stat counts 100%. So Rebellin puts minutes into Basso.
capisce?
Looking at it in the DB, it looks like whoever set it thought it was the other way round, but even if that's the case, there's still settings that make no sense for a bunch of stages.
I just gotta hear... No admin etc. has answered this bug, but is it a serious problem? Can't we play Giro d' Italia, before we have chance this with an editor?
You can play it, but the mountain stat won't matter. The hill stat will. So RebellÃn or Gilbert or Kolobnev or someone like that will win it. You can edit it yourself with hannes editor
*goes off and edits all the Giro hilly stages to flat so the GC riders won't make stupid unrealistic attacks*

In the TDU there also aint any hill stages, but i think you couldt give at least 5 a hil status. |

That would guarantee a 0% chance of a sprint finish. In real life it finished in a bunch sprint

I've started off with Rapha and everything looks great until I try to select my equipment before a stage. There's lots of choice and none of the items are pink flagged but the impact is 44, 42 or 40 in each category. Is that normal?
Yes, it's normal. As far as I know, the equipment stat has no impact on the race.
Psychologically it would be nice to have the stats, but to be honest, I really didn't feel like going thru' all the equipment and giving them stats for this reason.

Glad to hear that. |

Btw... The TDU KoM-Points are false... 5 Riders become Points... 16,12,10 etc...

I finally encountered the bug.
The 8th team I tried was Drapac Porsche and we crashed at the 2nd stage of the TDU. What causes it will be for Crue to determine when he's back from his weekend away.
Though info like what team would be helpful, because if (edit) it is a bad .xml file it makes no sense that only 1 in 8 games (for me) crash.

Hi everybody.
Really nice job you pulled off once again! Thanks!
But... i'm having trouble trying to sign free agents until 10th January.
I try to contact them and a window appears saying that contact with riders isn't possible until June!!!
But its a free agent, not a rider with contract! i've double checked on that. And tryied to contact several free agents and it was allways the same story...
Can anyone help me?
Thanks again |

Every one of my experiences points very strongly to the opposite.
same Startlists, same stages, same difficulty levels, same wind, same form
I've done that like ten different times since the game was out. Same result every time. Very large difference in performance.

Hello thgere, I have a question. I have installed the DB and it looks like one of the best I have ever played with in which PCM version so far, but when I want to race there is no race profile and I get a PCM exe when the race is loading. |

When you download something, it's recommended that you read the instructions before using it. Otherwise you end up doing what you just did.
Please read instructions. They're there for a reason

My experience is pretty similar to Lachi here. I did the Alpe D'Huez test he suggested at the time and there didn't seem to be much difference to me. In fact, from what I remember the results were pretty disturbing in a far wider sense.

The AI takes no notice of the stats either - according to Cyanide the AI is also programmed to choose a frame at random from the equipment manufacturer.
Though of course, if anyone wants to go thru and give them stats, they are very welcome. |
