And yeah, obviously really a bummer to have missed out on the best Swiss rider ^^
If it's any consolation to you Hirschi should be the only real scorer we had this weekend. Apart from his win I wouldn't be surprised if we don't even reach double figures.
Block 2 will be all about Hirschi or Kwiatkowski in Strade Bianchi and snatching some team mate points. Only 4 riders confirmed starting there yet (+ Turgis in the races in Belgium), so there's some gambling involved.
KB Cobblers - Block 2
LOUVEL Matis
HIGUITA Sergio
KWIATKOWSKI Michal
MAGNIER Paul
TULETT Ben
VAN DER SANDE Tosh
TURGIS Anthony
HIRSCHI Marc

My Bini bounce back bet not coming off in a big way. If hadn't stolen Gall from Bikex not sure we would have scored at all.

Block 1 results
Here we are for the first update! So far, no major mistakes yet. Some people dropped points left and right, but nothing big. Not was there any major rider missed in the draft (although Skujins gave us quite a scare).
The first leaders are Nemolito's Zondagcoureurs. Two good classics in Belgium and 1 result in France see them take an early lead. Is a repeat from 2022 possible? More familiar names on the podium with the Hussars and the Red Lanterns, with the former focussing on France and the latter on Flanders.
On a shared 4th place are the Macros and the Rogues, both having only a good scorer so far. After that there's quite a gap to the Racoons, who are still waiting for Pedersen. Next are the 59'ers, Spokes and Bombers, all with slightly disappointing leaders.
The Cobblers only got Hirschi on the scoreboard and miss the 100 point mark. The Fainthearts also had a poor start and find themselves out of the top 10. The Ice Tulips and W are waiting for Pogacar and Mathieu respectively. Finally the Hornets are last, despite scoring in all 4 races.

Good call to bring in Eekhoff in the end. Hagenes could have scored some assist points as well had I picked him.
Macros, block2:
BARDET Romain
CARAPAZ Richard
EEKHOFF Nils
KIELICH Timo
LAPORTE Christophe
MARTIN Guillaume
MENTEN Milan
VENDRAME Andrea
Taking it safe with the eight confirmed starters

Happy to be in first place, did not expect it! Let's see if this team is still able to score during the Italian job. Leaving Moscon at home (perhaps missing out on Alaphilippe or Asgreen points), as well as Aniokowski (hoping Fretin and/or Allegaert do the job in Monsere instead).
Zondagscoureurs - Italian Job
PIDCOCK Thomas
WELLENS Tim
GREGOIRE Romain
TAMINIAUX Lionel
FRETIN Milan
ALLEGAERT Piet
YATES Simon
DUPONT Timothy

Looks like I should just stay with ManGame and not try other games Seems like I can adopt whatever draft strategy I want, it won't work out - either with riders not performing, or just not starting ^^
Anyway, here's my block 2 squad:
Fainthearts Block 2
BETTIOL Alberto
COSNEFROY Benoit
HOFSTETTER Hugo
CAPIOT Amaury
TRONCHON Bastien
EINHORN Itamar
BARGUIL Warren
GENIETS Kevin
Only 6 confirmed starters, so even Bettiol stays in ^^ Barguil and Geniets are guesses, others seem even more unlikely...

Spokes Block 2:
HEALY Ben
MOHORIC Matej
DEL TORO Isaac
WAERENSKJOLD Soren
FRISON Frederik
SIMMONS Quinn
SHEEHAN Riley
ULISSI Diego
These are the only projected starters from my team so they are who we go.Hoping Frison can get over his unfortunate injury and finally get to racing in Monsere

MVDP had better have a classics season for the ages once he start riding.
Block 2
VAN ASBROECK Tom
MOSCHETTI Matteo
BAGIOLI Andrea
VAUQUELIN Kevin
LAFAY Victor
BALLERINI Davide
FORMOLO Davide
GIRMAY Biniam

Rogues block 2
TEUNS Dylan
PITHIE Laurence
ASGREEN Kasper
BRAET Vito
BIERMANS Jenthe
SEGAERT Alec
COVI Alessandro
BERCKMOES Jenno
Leaving out Zingle, Theuns and Tesson, as I don't see them scoring in the race they start in. I was also considering Vansevenant might start in Strade, but it's too early in the season to start gambling.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

3-8-10 today, definitely ok.
Rex is definitely the biggest miss of the draft so far, and I like that Morgado kid as well.

Indeed, Rex with some great racing so far. Have to admit that I didn't even consider him. I hesitated to go for Morgado, but thought I'd wait for another year. Maybe a mistake.
9th and 12th isn't awful, plus some assist points for Capiot as well. Still a bit disappointed by Hofstetter, though, who was never worse than 5th in the last 4 editions... Well, onto the next one.

And another missed win with Lenny Martinez. Unlike Rex, I did see this one on a few lists, but he didn't get drafted in the end.

Yep, definitely on several of my lists. But I thought he'd only ride stage races, Laigueglia was added yesterday...
Similar story for Christen, where I hesitated between him and Bissegger for the second Swiss spot. Looks like there were quite some wrong decisions again, although it's still early.
At least it won't be a zero-pointer season for Bettiol, finishing 14th today. But it looks like Cosnefroy didn't even finish, thereby missing out on some welcome assist points ^^ Not much going our way so far... And yeah, Vendrame was considered as well, but not valued high enough - well done to Marco to pick him up in the very last position.
