Could have been back to back stage wins with Eislers and Carapaz. Unfortunately just missed out two times
But it's encouraging to see Carapaz at the front, hopefully that's a prelude for the upcoming stages!

Sorry for the delay. Was away over the weekend, thinking I'd have enough time and energy to post the reports, but alas. Not sure yet if I'll make it two days with two reports each, so the race would still end next Sunday, or if I just go with one report a day. Guess it won't change anything anyway.

No problem either way, appreciate the great coverage.
No mistakes from Kuss on this stage and nice to see Rhim there with him to the end. Losing ground in the U25 but that was probably inevitable.
Congrats to Kraftwerk, Moazemi having a great race.

Vayliv is doing excellent for his GC race in the hills. Moving up the GC slightly and finishing with the front of the race. Great effort!
Great report again!

Got to be happy when your sprinter can't do it and your puncheur steps up.
Another day in yellow for Moazemi who has far exceeded expectations and hopefully no commitment from the team to defend tomorrow.
Great to see 5 Kraftwerk jerseys at the front with 2km to go keeping our Teams challenge going.
Thanks for the thanks and for another great report Fab. Happy to wait a few days to read reports of this quality

So that stage was an elaborate "let's fuck with jandal" experiment right? Local hero Harry Tesfaye Howard solo almost works out, Bennett makes a last minute overtake for the win just to be last second overtaken himself, and Kipkemboi also gets pipped for his own podium. Unbelievable.
I better get some good karma from that in the back half of this race

Choi still hasn't got going and just grinds his way up the standings as others fall away on the harder stages. Even best friend Bennett got bored, took his chance and move up the standings. Time is running out for our leader to get a move on Unnecessary time loss for Barta but maybe this helps Choi be more free with no one in the high positions any more. Guess the next stage will make things clearer. We really need a positive result on Apex.
Congrats to Kraftwerk again, for never being out of the action in this race. Moazemi making up for what Haller couldn't. Thanks for the report Fab Couple of days' delay doesn't really matter I think.

Another futile effort. Also we should send more than one rider in breakaways.

Annoyed that Vasyliv got dropped but the positive is he is back into the top 10 overall! This is what he needs to do, just hold onto the main group and he will move up the GC standings as others crack. He did crack today and I'm lucky that he cracked as the downhill started. Vasyliv racing well and definitely trending upwards in the GC.
Although if he didn't get dropped he might have overtaken Ranaweera but thats okay.
Another excellent report Fabianski! Thanks!

Well great ride for the boys although once again fitting into our pattern of doing good stuff but getting limited practival benefit. Despite the good riders we lost two places on the GC. The teams jersey doesn't add much unless you carry it to the end which seems a stretch.
But that moaning aside Kuss in 5th on GC is great and much better than some others have enjoyed and we got some time cushion this time as his low RC will begin to catch up with him soon. Hopefully having all that support helped him.
Thanks for the great reports.

Love the ambition from GB, seems like it could have just been a couple of kilometres later but we know he knows he can go from range on Apex Mountain Hope he isn't too tired now. Good to get the main GC contenders basically back to parity, however Bennett obviously needs to be well in the lead before Stage 20 if he wants the win.

Look who decided to finally wake up
Choi did everything he was supposed to, one rider was just better on the day. Congrats to Sykkel for that! Good to see he has the legs to be better than his closest competitors on the high mountains (a new competitor seems to have showed up though). Also Choi is back to being hand in hand with Bennett
Eenkhoorn having such a bad day sucks and losing the lead in the U25 jersey does too. TvA still with the Green is nice though.
Thanks for the report Fab

Awesome from Faglum Karlsson! Was initially slightly annoyed we didn’t put anyone in the breakaway only to tow in the peloton, but I see why now! Awesome to grab another stage win and the leader’s jersey, although I’m a bit worried about that responsibility going into the next stages. We have a good team, but Squire and Scarponi are the only ones who can handle these climbs quite well. This also means Magnusson probably will have his last day in the KoM jersey as it’ll be all hand on decks now for our Swedish leader
I really hope Faglum Karlsson can keep this form up!

Fun Facts:
- Moazemi was the race leader after 9 stages in total. Pluchkin or Faglum Karlsson could tie him, but no other rider will be wearing yellow on 9 days (given that the leader after 21 stages won't be wearing the jersey the day after)
- Van Asbroeck has already secured the "Most Days in the Points Lead" award
- The same holds for Magnusson and the KoM standings
- And for Eenkhoorn in the U25 standings
- Sprinters have won 8 stages so far, which is more than half (6 flat, 2 hilly)
- Only 3 stages went to breakaway riders so far (counting the Revelstoke stage in despite the escapees being caught)
- 6 teams are still waiting for a stage podium: Colombini, Gjensidige, McCormick, Pas Normal, Sauber and - nomen est omen - Podium Ambition.
- Eislers took all 5 podium spots so far for Crabbe.
- The contrary is true for Cedevita: Their 4 podium spots were reached by 4 different riders - which is a record. Philips and Assa have 3 podium riders each.
- Pluchkin is the oldest rider getting a podium in this race (only Spilak is older anyway).
- Roman is the youngest one (being roughly 2.5 months younger than Reddish)

I'd love for the boys to be a bit more involved in Breakaways and hopefully achieve a stage win. I don't think Vasyliv on his own can get us enough points to make this race worth while. With only 1 podium I'm definitely not satisfied yet. 1 week to go to improve this and keep Vasyliv in the top 10 fight.

Lets assume Rhim dropped all that time so he can go stage hunting and not because he was worried about his sprinter pal.
