That's typical; they do give Stevic a lifetime-ban, but don't dare to do it with Ricco, Sella and all the others "famous" dopers But it is a good thing that they actually might give a doped rider a lifetime-ban. |

If the article is correct, and the rumours also correct then he was more than just a doper, but someone who supplied, dealt, and was arm in arm with some rather shady characters.

The german cycling federation will become 2 millions of the german state every year former defence minister of Germany Rudolf Scharping (now President of the Germany Cycling Federation ) could convince some to get that , just 1 percent of the 2 millions were invested in the professional cycling and also "We have to see positive tests not negative , we should see them positive"
Also there is a blog who got the list how many money was spended in which area in cycling (german cycling federation)
So here interesting facts how 2,4 millions (if we would like to be very precise) of euros from the german state to the german cycling federation are spended maybe you country will have also such weightings (year 2008 not for 2009 or from 2007 , this year)
18 olympic disciplines become money :
10 track disciplines (7 for men , 3 for women)
2 BMX disciplines (1 men and 1 women)
2 Mountainbike disciplines (1 men and 1 women)
4 street disciplines (2 men and 2 women (so U23 and Elite per gender?sex?))
A (Year plannings without projects)
Track Elites 222.000€ (Men and Women)
Track Youth 47.000€ (Men and Women together)
Track total 269.000€
BMX 30.000€
BMX total 30.000€
Mountain Bike Men Elite 47.000€
Mountain Bike Women Elite 38.000€
Mountain Bike Youth 204.000€ (with every category and some more things)
Mountain Bike Juniors 3.000€
Mountain Bike total 292.000€
Street (the most interesting part)
Men U23 100.000€
Women Endurance? 50.000€
Street Cycling total 150.000€
Other things (fully)
Referee retraining 30.000€
Doctors plan? (don´t ask me whats that) 50.000€
Teaching aids 3.000€
Convention plan 8.000€
German armed forces (Bundeswehr) 2.000€
Materials and technical aids 139.000€
Other things 232.000€
Total A 973.800€ (Do you have seen the 800 where they are? they put somehow in that total 800€ too much)
B Projects for Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing
Track cycling 223.284€
BMX 10.977€
Mountain bike 91.242€
Street (Women not men) 21.262€
Materials 57.000€
Project total 403.765€
C World championships
Track cycling in Manchester (men and women) 79.000€
BMX 137.500€
Mountain bike 81.000€
Street cycling (here WITH the Men (and women of course like before) 80.000€
C World championship total 377.500€
And other costs :
hall cycling (like cycling ball or artistic cycling) 51.490€
Personel 773.400€
So every discipline :
Track 571.284€
BMX 178.477€
Mountain bike 464.262€
Street cycling 251.262€
lap over measures olympic sports 289.800€
Hall cycling (not olympic) 51.490€
Personel 773.400€
german state money 2.599.955€
german cycling federation money 99.220€
Cycling money 2.480.755€
And as an extra information here how much the state paid for the 5 German World Championship partipicants in total (for their arrival to Varese , meals etc.) both disciplines 24.000€
I am angry , just because of stupid (in relationship to 2.4 million euros , I mean I would like to have 24.000€ XD) they wanted to stop the 2.4 million euro aids for all the other not involved people
Also look at the edit of this post to Ullrichs case if you would like : https://www.pcmdai...ost_152685 |

Apparently, Sella's supplier was CSF Group teammate Matteo Priamo.
Now, doping is one thing, but I have no respect for those riders who then drop their team-mates in it....unless, of course, Priamo, held Sella down kicking and screaming while administering the CERA. |

Remember what Kloeden had to say about CSF? Remember Priamo's reaction?
Klöden had said that he is clean and has been controlled 22 times this year. "Seven of those controls came from within my team. I am controlled by five different entities – WADA [world anti doping agency], NADA [German anti doping agency], UCI [International cycling federation], the Swiss cycling federation and PWC [a private German company conducting anti doping tests - ed.] At the Giro, there are only four teams with a tight control system – Slipstream, High Road, CSC and Astana... [Davide] Rebellin and [Riccardo] Riccò, I don't know how often they have controls like me. I don't want to talk about the team of Priamo."
Team manager Bruno Reverberi said that "We have already spoken to our lawyer, Claudio Pasqualin, about possible legal actions against what Andreas Klöden had said. He launched accusations against a team – ours – but the German does not know what kind of anti doping controls we do... Our program and our controls do not come [publicly announced], unlike from other teams; even in the recent past, we did everything that we were clean... We will defend the image of society and [the image] of the athletes."
In a brief statement to Cyclingnews before the start of stage 10, Priamo said, "I never had the chance to talk to Klöden. I always thought he was a good person, but that made me change my mind." Stay tuned for more on the matter in the next news edition.
Obviously controls that couldn't uncover Sella's drug misuse even when his performances were clearly not above board and Priamo who presumably if he was the dealer, was also a user. |

Thanks for the reminder about Kloden's comments.
You have to wonder now just how much Kloden knew. I assumed he picked Priamo as he'd just won a stage. |

@ ember
He swore he wasn´t doped from 1st January to 31th March
He won Rund um Köln , but that was at 21th of April , why should he dope a month before? (He isn´t Tyler Hamilton)

I remember that Klöden comment. It's very interesting if the riders actually know who's doping and who's not -- and more importantly, who's supplying the different riders. |

Cause EPO is an essential product for Grand Tour riders ?
Since the first tests for EPO appeared in 2003, the way to use it changed. Basically you take loads of it during Winter. Then you only take small amounts all season long which will make your body produce way more red cells than it'd do without the Winter cure.
That's common sense when you have some knowledge of those people habits, but that doesn't hold in a court... |

They do, even if all riders don't know every single rider, but yes, they do know who is on what, which makes the clean ones bitter, and the ones who "cheat too much" or win and get supplied by other people or riders who are "outside the usual doping system" get stigmatised by other riders, like Klöden about CSF here. |

The chief of marketing at Nordmilch, the sponsor of Milram, has been fired, and from what the press people have said, this could mean the end of Milram when the contract ends in 2010, because the now ex-chief pretty much singlehandledly secured the sponsorship
... but well, lots of things can happen before that.

Is that the end of 2010? Or this COULD be the last season for Milram? |

800 tests for the biological passport have been analyzed, and Anne Gripper says that they will soon be able to prosecute some riders based on the results of those tests.
(Old news, actually, since she's said that before.) |
