problem is also, he just can't stick out 3 weeks. He's never won a Grand Tour. Maybe he can win the vuelta. Doubt it though.

Vuelta is he's only chanche..but not this year. He's problem, is that he looks like clean rider..having bad and good days..to many up and down's. But there is always also some Menchov last year Vuelta type rider..who just dont have bad days. |

So, today's a damn sure sprint. Bennati in gold? He will be if he can grab a time bonus, either intermediate or at the end.

My Guese is that Koldo Fernandez comes out of no where on the last meters and snaps the victory ahead of Boonen and Bennati on 3rd, an there for comes Fernandaz in gold (there is a slight possibility of me overhyping Koldos sprinting abilities )

Valverde if he's riding this race seriously will probably do better than a lot are expecting.
Some things are easier to do in Spain, than France these days.... |

Course change at the last minute. A bunch sprint is even more guaranteed as a result.
Uphill sprint today. Not much of an incline, though. The only thing the uphill should do is take away the chances of Haedo and similars, making it more likely that Bennati, Freire and even Boonen will win. Zabel as well.

Boonen will demand that Steegmans work for him, or he'll cry. Just watch.

If Valverde has any designs on the overall, he just lost it, despite winning the jersey. He put a lot of effort into this, as is usual Valverde. He won't be on the final podium.

was a good finish, but yeah. too much effort into this. Does he get the overall today as well? If so, expect caisse on the front all day tomorrow a la tour de france.

he was only after stages anyway. Im glad he has won anyway. Why does everyone instead of congratulating a win play it down and might it like as insignificant as possible. Go Valverde! |

You know we don't usually congratulate wins, otherwise we'd be congratulating riders every day.
Insignificant? Nobody played it that way. We're commenting on his overall prospects.

in a way i hope valverde does do well this vuelta, he needs to prove to himself, us and the team he's capable of winning these 3 week tours.
However we all know who's most likely to win it. Don't we?
