Yeah, kind of funny to see Evans and Leipheimer attacking instead of following wheels.
What's up with Sastre, though? Is he ill, is he in too bad shape or is it part of some really smart build-up of form? His entire season has been all about preparing for the Tour, and he's even said that the entire team should focus only on riding for him and not go for stage wins. To me it seems a bit disturbing that he's doing THAT badly at this time of the season, but what do I know...
Don't call me Jens Fuck! It always sounds like that when you Danish people say my name.

I wouldn't worry about Sastre's form at all. He looked even worse in last year's Tour de Suisse. At least he has shown himself a little in Dauphine.

That's pretty common. When Riis won the Tour he didn't even finish the Dauphiné and lost over 15 minutes on a stage with a single climb (the Ventoux...still...)
That doesn't mean he'll be good at the Tour, but it's perfectly normal to do nothing at the Dauphiné.
If he did nothing in the final days in Switzerland, however...that would be worrying.

According to Gesink it wasn't a hard attack, just a test. He was suprised a lot of riders had to let go already, which gives him confidence for the next day.
But with 2'28 behind, I think it's only a three horse race, Valverde/Evans/Leipheimer. Gesink will probably end up 4th
Don't forget about Sastre, Monfort and others
exactly....... Gesink 4th
Seems I was right for once |

Sastre idem... and Sastre is already behind in the GC
Did you seen the same stage??? Sastre and Monfort were badly placed when Gesink attacked. And then Sastre did the recovery alone pulling the group that was with him to the front
Hi again |

If you are building up to the tour then you are not really going to be in your best shape now as he doesn't want to be in his best form until the end of the first week of the tour. the first week for him is about not losing time on his main rivals.
Today I would say Valverde take the overall but after yesterday i think you will see evans end levi really going for it but dont think it change the top 3. |

That's cool .. I think it's nice that the french teams finally get some good results.. Ag2r with a stage win.. Bouygues Telecom with a stage win and a second place .. That's nice to see Let's hope they can keep this up .. Dessel and Monfort in top 10 GC .. And so on ..
I think that there will be a breakaway and someone from the breakaway group will win this stage .. Top 3 GC wont change .. But I hope that Levi and Cadel will attack again hehe |

If you want to believe Moinard, Gilbert and Pineau, they say it's because doping is far less this year, so the pack is a lot slower.
"Even in spanish races", said Moinard.

I belive this is logic explanation..good to see French teams back. No more Boygues joke anymore.
Euskaltel in Paris-Roubaix is still a joke.. |
