@Issoisso: Don't you like Scolari ? hehe he has done well with the team ..
It's a mix of young and old players ... Mourtinho, Ronaldo, Pepe, and the old players with a lot of experience: Nuno Gomes, Deco, Ricardo, Carvalho |

he did well in 2004 because the midfield and defence were built by Mourinho at Porto and he simply put them on the field to play as Mourinho had taught them.
2006 was a matter of luck and facing teams who weren't very good. the moment we played France and Germany we sucked.
That, plus scolari is extremely arrogant, does whatever he wants, always picks his favorite players instead of the ones who play well, does not admit criticism otherwise he sulks like a 4 year old child and leaves the press conference, hardly ever makes a smart decision on anything.
And worst of all, (and this is painfully obvious to anyone who's read his autobiography) he will stab anyone in the back, no matter how close a friend it is, as long as he can gain anything at all from doing it.
When you're that incompetent and that much of a jerk, you become easy to hate. that's Scolari's case.

that was funny, some random turkish guy tried to knock the ball past Bosingwa and beat him to the ball.
Bosingwa turned around, speeded up and when he got there, the turkish guy wasn't even halfway there |

there's something I don't think a lot of people realise: Bosingwa is possibly the fastest player in the world right now
Last summer at Porto's pre-season camp, on the first day, when everybody shows up from holiday, completely out of shape, there are fitness drills, to test in what shape each player is in. One of the tests is the 100m sprint
Bosingwa's time that day would've been enough to qualify for the Beijing Olympics in the 100 meters |

That's strange... Portugal are actually playing football
Even Nuno Gomes is working hard in the attack... That's not normal... I think it has something to do with the position of the moon and the tides...
And btw, are the turkish players a bit thick? I mean, they've tried to run pass Bosingwa like 20 times and Bosingwa always comes out on top but they keep trying... I mean, that's something I'd expect from Scolari not Fatih...

Simão is really good today He finally gets the start place he deserved since 2002. I think he's a more reliable player than C.Ronaldo. Simão always do good, he doesn't have bad days. Ronaldo is the best when he's on form, but when he has a bad day he's in Zenden class. |

all Ronaldo's good days are for Man utd. all his bad days are for the national team.
it's not him, it's the tactics. It's Man Utd's tactics that give create space for him |

Portugal plays really well today..
They play fast and creates a lot of goal chances.. PEPE scored a goal .. And they've hit the bar 3 times ..
Really enjoyable game . Compared to Switzerland - Czech Republic.. |

it's been immensely better than usual. hopefully it's going to be the norm, and not just because it's the first game
I'm still worried about the lack of goals, though. every year this team has a lot of trouble scoring, and today has been no different.
plus, the game's not over yet. |

No it isn't but they've also been a bit unlucky today..
They had a goal disallowed due to a very doubtful offside |

I haven't seen it, but the commentator says the referee was right, so I have no reason to doubt it |

Well it was a bit doubtful .. But anyway Portugal will take this (if nothing spectacular happens) ..
2-0 - And we saw Ronaldo and his pace with the ball .. That's really impressive ..

You need glasses, it was offside by 1,5 meter |

I feel sorry for Switzerland They were so much better than CZE today and lost to a crappy goal. If just Vonlanthen scored that goal! |

It was the worst match I've seen in a while. Switzerland were by far the better team. The Czech Republic miss players like Nedved and Rosicky too much.

I would rather say it was a close call haha
Yes but Switzerland are going to miss Alexander Frei too much and I think they'll end up as 4th in the group..
They key match will be between Turkey and Czech Republic ..
