@schleck93: Well Thomas Riber-Sellebjerg is the closest the team has to a climber. He's 68 in mountain and he is in fact riding this race, but his form is rather rubbish since he has just returned from an injury.
@Crommy: I though it was Gordon Brown

Brixia Tour – Stage 3
I’m flying high right now. I thought of this race as a good place to show myself off and I have really done so and I feel like my chances of signing with a ProTour team next season have increased vastly after my stage win yesterday. I know my limits though and so should the ProTour teams. I’m no climber, so I won’t be able to hang on to the jersey today as there’s a ton of brilliant climbers in this race. Nevertheless it was amazing when I showed up to the sign-in this morning, again a lot of the ProTour riders complimented me for my efforts and it’s really confidence boosting. I think I’ll do very well in Post Danmark Rundt after this.
Gasparre the last breakaway rider, was reeled in at the foot of the final climb.
I stayed at the front to show the jersey off and eventhough I wasn’t on my limit when Sella attacked I decided not to go with it.
Soler and Velits were the strongest riders it seemed as they formed the front duo.
I sat the pace in the pack to honour the leader’s jersey. But I was definitely going to lose it.
Giunti of Miche and Emanuele Sella of CSF were chasing Velits and Soler furiously up the final climb. Savoldelli was in a group behind.
But Soler and Velit kept going and they would fight it out and Soler showed off his climbing talent as he took the stage, while Velits take over the leader’s jersey.
I’m a bit surprised with my own performance as I came in as 28th on the stage, 1’57 after Soler, which means I’m 12th in the GC. But tomorrow’s stage will be even harder, but still a Top 20 is not out of range and that will be a great result for me. Let’s hope the green jersey gives me wings tomorrow.

Brixia Tour – Stage 4
Yesterday’s effort on that mountain has given me the confidence that I can stay in the top 20 in this race, which will be quite an achievement for me since I’m not really a true climber. Today’s mountain finish is much harder though and I will have to do even better to stay at the front, but I’m nearing peak condition and I am not a bad climber, so perhaps I might just pull this off.
Mazzanti and Tonti attacked from the pack with 60 kilometres to go.
With 35 km to go they caught Sacchi who had been on the break all day. They dropped him instantly. But the pack was bringing the race together and when the attacks started at the final climb Mazzanti was caught. It was Perutnina’s Mahoric who started it off. Vila and Savoldelli went with him.
But the Milram train, despite the unfamiliar surroundings, brought the race together, with me at the very front of the pack. This was before Soler delivered a shattering hook and got a gap.
While Soler was powering away with Velits losing his jersey I was still at the front with about 5 kilometres to go and we have hit a section with a low gradient now.
Soler rode under the green kite on his own.
And he took the stage and the jersey, and he even took the green jersey from me.
This was an amazing day for me as I managed to climb with the best riders of the pack and I took 20th on the stage as I will keep my 12th place in the GC. I’m only 9 points after Soler in the Points classement, so if I finish 7th or better on tomorrow’s flat stage I will win it back.

Brixia Tour – Stage 5
This is my final stage before Post Danmark Rundt but it won’t be a walkover from my side as I have an objective today. I’m 9 points down on Soler in the Points Classement, so if I finish 7th or better in the sprint today, if there is a sprint, I will take the jersey. There isn’t really other riders who can take the jersey as the riders closest to me aren’t sprinters, but climbers.
Focusing on the finish.
Croatian Kvasina was the last rider to be reeled in by the pack. Prior to this my team had also done a great job taking part in the chase.
I found a pretty good wheel before the sprint as I was sixth in the only sprinter train. Uros Murn, my big enemy was on my wheel, I would like nothing better than to beat him today.
Szczawinski of Miche took the lead after a powerful lead-out from Enrico Degano and I looked destined to finish in the top 7.
Szczawinski wouldn’t hold on though as Maurizio Biondo of Ceramica Flaminia came blasting on his left hand side and claimed the win today.
I finished 6th, ahead of Murn, so I will win the Points jersey, that’s my third of the season, so I’m very happy with it and it’s a great confidence boost for Post Danmark Rundt, which begins in two days, so I’m off home to Denmark right after the finish and then I will have a light workout tomorrow before it all takes off in my biggest race on the calendar. I can’t wait.

Jonas’ Corner
It’s July 28th, the day before Post Danmark Rundt kicks off. I’m currently in Holstebro where the first stage of the race will be raced. It’s been pretty hectic lately, I arrived with my teammates in Denmark last night right after finishing Brixia Tour and today we have been training a little bit just to keep the rhythm going. We have finished today’s training session so now I’m just focusing on tomorrow’s stage, where I will try do something in the sprint. Also I have finally found out who won this year’s Tour de France as I have been far too busy with racing to catch up on it. Turned out Alejandro Valverde took a surprising win ahead of Thomas Dekker and Yaroslav Popovych. I would have liked to watched, but maybe I’ll be racing it next year.

Post Danmark Rundt – Stage 1
It’s finally here, the biggest race on the calendar for me this season. I’m peak condition so I know I can take that podium spot that our sponsors want us to get. But also we have Michael Mørkøv and Christoffer Stevenson here in absolute topform so we have a lot of cards to play with. But no matter what happens I think I’ll be our ace. The first four stage are flat and with the form I’m in I could easily pull off podium here. The fifth stage is a 11-km time trial where I will lose time, so I need boni seconds on the first four stages. The final stage is the crucial one with two hills right before the finish and this is where I need to make my move in this tour. Also very surprisingly CSC didn’t line up for this race and I have no idea why.
The first breakaway of the tour consisted of four riders.
The final rider of that break Scheirlinckx was reeled in at a comfortable 35 kilometres from the line giving us a lot of preparation time for the sprint.
Jacob Moe led me and Mørkøv to the front while Mørkøv gave me a powerful leadout which gave us a comfortable lead.
But Skil-Shimano came up on us with Veelers and Van Hummel and they were very close in the final corner.
Veelers surged into the lead while I was boxed in by Van Hummel so I couldn’t get past Mørkøv.
Veelers took the win while I had to settle for 5th as Alex Rasmussen overtook me on the line. Mørkøv took 3rd.

Post Danmark Rundt – Stage 2
I wasn’t quite satisfied with yesterday’s result and as I really want to show people what I can do here in Denmark, I’m very determined on taking some boni seconds today and do well in the sprint finish.
Like yesterday, Liquigas and Silence-Lotto took part in the breakaway of the day.
They were reeled in with about 25 kilometres to go just before a bonus sprint where Mørkøv led me out to take 6 boni seconds.
But the sprint went even worse today. Mørkøv managed to position himself well but somehow I couldn’t hold his wheel and I was far back when the sprint began.
I tried the best I could from the position I was in but I wouldn’t be even close to a podium today unfortuneately as I had to see another Dane, Alex Rasmussen bring home the victory.
Another dissapointing result as I only managed 10th on the stage. Luckily I grabbed some boni seconds, so I will be 6th in the GC, 22 seconds down on Veelers. I really need to sharpen up for tomorrow’s sprint because I will need more seconds before the time trial.
To top the bad result the game crashed as I took the last screenshot meaning I couldn’t export results.

Post Danmark Rundt – Stage 3
After two dissapointing opening days I actually woke up this morning feeling refreshed and ready to go, maybe because the bad results had made me even more determined to do well. The feeling I got from my legs out on the stage was absolutely awesome. I felt fantastic and I knew no matter what I was going to do very well today, if I could stay with Mørkøv that is.
Liquigas went on the break for the 3rd day in a row as Willems linked up with Scheirlinckx to form the TV break.
Willems was the strongest of the two as he left Scheirlinckx in his wake but he couldn’t hold off the pack which caught him with 70 kilometres left to race.
Stevenson attacked with two other riders right after and these three riders would claim the first three places in the stage’s only points sprint. They were reeled in rather quickly though as me, Mørkøv and Jacob prepared for the sprint.
Jacob did a great job getting me and Mørkøv to the front.
Mørkøv started the sprint in twisty and bedny finale of the stage with me in his wheel.
He was incredibly strong and Christopher Sutton who was in my wheel couldn’t get past, so I made my move just before the final turn.
And no-one was even close. It was actually Mørkøv who was the closest to me as I surged though the last bend with only a few hundred metres to the line. I had won it. My first 2.HC stage win ever!
I was thrilled as it was an amazing experience to win a stage in the biggest race of my home-country. Now I know how Alex Rasmussen must have felt yesterday. Mørkøv took 2nd slamming home a fantastic 1-2 for us, while I moved to 3rd in the GC, meaning I get to ride in the young riders jersey on tomorrow’s stage. It was a very important result this as I have now taken some valuable seconds on my opponents and a guy like Vandevelde has to crush me on the time trial because I’m confident I will take time on him on the last stage.

I sure hope so
Post Danmark Rundt – Stage 4
This is the last stage for the sprinters of this edition of Post Danmark Rundt. The stage is a 80 kilometre criterium on a street circuit in Odense and I have done well on the flat this season so I hope I can pull off a podium today as it wouldn’t hurt with some additional boni seconds.
You have to say they try, the Liguigas team, they have been on the break all the stages now.
But today wasn’t for them either as the breakway was caught with 20 kilometres left.
My legs weren’t as strong as yesterday and me and Michael Mørkøv couldn’t position us as well today as Jacob Moe didn’t have the strenght to get us to the front. Michael did grab us a decent wheel but I lost a few metres on him, which meant it was all over for me today.
The white jersey didn’t give wings as I just couldn’t seem to accelerate enough to reach as decent speed in the finale and I was way off today.
Up front, Joker – Bianchi had set up Kristoff perfectly and the Norwegian shot through the final corner with a decent lead. Could he claim a surprise win?
He certainly could which I’m quite happy with because neither Veelers nor Rasmussen got into the top three on the stage.
It isn’t Veelers or Rasmussen I’m worried about in the GC fight however. They can both do well on the time trial tomorrow but I will easily beat them on the final hilly stage, so it’s more Christian Vandevelde I’m afraid of but luckily I have a 26 seconds advantage over him now and if I can hold the advantage on tomorrow’s time trial then I’ll be very happy and very confident of maybe going for it all on the last stage.

Post Danmark Rundt – Stage 5
During this season I have recieved some friendly jokes from my teammates suggesting I shouldn’t quit my day job because I’m such a poor time trialist. But there were no jokes today as things have now turned very serious. This is no doubt the most important time trial of my career so far and unlike all the time trials I have so far this season I really have to put in a great effort today. I’m third in the GC and I have managed to grab an advantage over guys like Christian Vandevelde, Martijn Maaskant and Martin Mortensen who are all great time trailists and who could also do something on tomorrow’s decisive hilly stage.
Vandevelde was very strong today and he took the win ahead of Martin Mortensen and Alex Rasmussen.
I started third last ahead of Rasmussen and Veelers. Prior to my departure, Stevenson, Jacob and Michael had all clocked good times and they will all be in the top 20 of the GC after the stage. For me it’s all about limiting the loss today. Prior to today’s stage I had an advantage of 26 seconds on Vandevelde, but he was going to turn that deficit over. I gave it my all though and the roaring home crowd carried me forward to what turned out to be my best time trial performance ever.
46th doesn’t sound like much but it is to me as I only lost 42 seconds, meaning I have managed to stay inside the Top 10. I’d never though that would have been possible. This means I’m only 16 seconds after Vandevelde before the final stage. So the rider I’m most worried about is Martin Mortensen in third, whom I’m 22 seconds down on. But I’m so confident of myself right now and my form is incredible, so I actually think I can win this race if I don’t crash or something stupid like that. Bring it on, I’m ready.

This is an exciting race, Jonas has done well only to lose 42 seconds on the TT. I hope he gets the win and the overall tomorrow - surely the phone wouldn't stop ringing from the protour teams... |
