What operating system are you using (Vista?, if so try right clicking pcmdashboard and select "run as administrator) , also what type of processor are you using (64bit ? if so i might know the solution).
When the error pops up click details and PM me the stack trace node, i can get more info from that. |

It won't let me copy the more detailed info from the error report, I'm afraid. |

Can you make screenshot of it, or look up the part that says something along the line of "Error occured at .....". The problem is i can't reproduce your error and without knowing where and what crashes it's hard to find a solution to it.
There are a couple of things that you could try:
-If ur not alreay, log in as an administrator.
-Try this update

Hi Jape!
Good to see such a useful tool!
May I know if this update is for those who can't install? Or it's an update for the "release" in previous pages?
And suggestions, would you consider adding features like deciding the national champs, creating riders and teams in the later ver.? ops:

Running that update, this is the error message that I get:
EventType : clr20r3 P1 : pcmdashboard.exe P2 : 1.0.0.0 P3 : 4810a73f
P4 : pcmdashboard P5 : 1.0.0.0 P6 : 4810a73f P7 : 31 P8 : c6
P9 : system.invalidoperationexception
In the 'contents' of the error report the first few lines are this:
Exception Information
Code: 0xe0434f4d Flags: 0x00000001
Record: 0x0000000000000000 Address: 0x000000007c812a5b
then it has my system info, then it just starts listing modules. |

Since I'm at work I can't really test it - so, should I upload this to the DL-section, or isn't it ready yet? |

Better wait a few days Crue, i want to get rid of the culture bug Waghlon has first, and i have a couple minor corrections to make. I'll PM you a version end of this weekend that can be put in the dload section. I also wanna (finally ) start a story myself instead of only programming .
@Whoda: doesn't matter much, they're both essentially the same, the latter one only has a tecnical 'under the hood' difference. I'd say take the last one
@Jamsque: I'm running out of ideas on the problem i'm afraid. Searching on the internet for similar errors doesn't really give me any new insights, most of the times it's a faulty framework/windows installation but it could be something else. I know it's impractical but maybe you could try another PC if you have one around . I'll try and search some more this weekend. |

the only thing I don't get is what the world map in "my cyclists" is for...

World is just a simple map of the world where the points gathered by a cyclists are displayed as a percentage per country, say you collected 50 points in France for some race and 25 in Italy, France will show up red and italy between red and green. It's not very usefull but was a nice feature to learn some graphics programming.

Wow Jape very well done for putting all this effort into it and keeping it up, i for 1 wouldnt have been able to do this. I have been waiting for something like this to come along so i can fix budgets as some are negative which isnt great for buying riders
Just wondering, will the ability to edit stats be in the final version? Also is it possible to 'MAKE' riders to put into the game? Probably not but im just wondering, it would be a good feature to the game
Keep up with the good work

I'll probably only add stats editing ability to the last version i hope to finish in the coming days. Maybe name changing ability too, but first need to fix some little bugs that are more annoying. The reason i did not include much editing capabilities is that i dont wanna fish in the same pond as Hannes since he provided me the tools. Adding riders is most probably not something i will include for that reason. |

Just between you and me, yours looks a lot easier to use
Its very nice of him to give you the tools, so i respect your decision. Maybe you could work together for PCM 2008 as you both have great pro's about your product.
Yours is much more user compatable and is less tables and folders e.g. Hannes. But you dont have some processes like adding riders and editing stats.
Hannes has all the processes but it puts some people off because it looks much too daunting to use.
I think together you could have the best editior in the world....
EDIT:
ive installed it but im having trouble finding my database (ive checked the manual)
if its the one i think it is when i click it, it comes up with this;

I think that is a great idea. I use Hannes and am getting more comfortable with it, But it is not easy for a neophyte. The PCM Dashboard looks easier to use for someone not used to dealing with tables. I have a problem just understanding what each column is for. I fumble along and figure it out eventually. |

You're having problems downloading the installer you mean Matt ?
@Karl_rab: It's a Vista problem, which doesn't let a program access the program files folder. Try running the program as administrator, although i'm not quite sure that will solve it. I have not yet really touched Vista so i'm not sure but there's also an option somewhere to virtualize the files that are in that program files folder and makes an copy of it to the App Data folder which then is being used instead. Do you have the same problems if you use Hannes Converter on Vista ? |
