Nope. I suspect they sat around for a while, waiting for the game to appear, then realised they actually needed someone to make it first.
Sorry, couldn't resist
They probably haven't got the funds to set up there own team yet, so they will use this to raise funds to make said team

Isn't it weird to hire a team to make a game?
Crimson Cow is a publisher , not a development team
Cyanide is a development team , Focus the publisher
EA hired Bright Future to make the EA Football Manager
It´s usual in the gaming branch^^
There are 3 ways for a game :
You can make your game of your own , but you´ll need a publisher (Cyanide and Focus or a F1 Manager Game that haven´t found a publisher , GPRM or something like that)
You are a publisher and have a idea for a game , but you must hire a development team that makes the game (Crimson Cow and ???)
Or you are Nintendo or Microsoft and you make both^^

You are, of course, right, Rin. I've just thought all the time that they were both making and publishing the game.
Some other things which 'worries' me: Looking at the screenshots, the values are very weird. All riders have a heart rate of 30, for example, there's 1436 km. to the goal, a slope of 5 % although it isn't going up, etc., etc. Photoshopped, maybe? Also, the stats seem very random. Steegmans with a cobble stat of 56? |

actually, it's been ready for almost two years. and "ready" as in "fully done". they just can't get anyone to publish it. |

Heart rate of 30 are realistic if they doesn´t do something^^ Much more realistic then Cyanides lowest heart rate 100?
1436 Kms , think it´s beta Just a thing of adjustment^^
I am thinking about the stats , there are 6 but it doesn´t make sense to me
The Stats are on spanish
2 COs , could be collina for Hill , cronoreloj or something like that for time trial , co could be condition , cobbles I don´t know , don´t know the spanish word
DE and Steegmans 77 , Descend and Steegmans 77 is a little bit weird , Hushovd could have then 99 when Steegmans got 77
I think there will be more stats , but hidden |

the stats that are there are the same as PCM, except without resistance, endurance or recovery. and I can't remember right now if acceleration is there, either |

Sorry to burst your bubble, but ever since 2005-ish they said all they needed was a publisher. It doesnt take 3 years to find a publisher with a feature as long as they claim it is.

Leak beta screenshots or cease claiming its done. The game is nothing but a feature list with some alpha screenshots and thats all its been since 2005.

1. I don't have any
2. even if my friend still has some, I'm not stupid enough to leak them here.
although I will say the game would probably be a disappointment for most. it's waaaay too easy. |

"In other news: Duke Nukem Forever was released yesterday..."
Seriously though, you are the only person ive met thats actually believed the GPRM wasnt vaporware. Ive read posts from the original coder and he says they havent done much work since he left the project in 2002.

You bigger dimwit. Vaporware means something that will never get released but was being worked on like Duke Nukem Forever and the Phantom console.
But ill give the project some slack. Because when you are a group of amateurs, the feature list i read would take around a decade to complete at least.

A heart rate of 30 is not realistic in the slightest. Last time I checked my resting heart rate in Sports Studies, it was 54bpm. It'd be impossible to get down to 30bpm without the use of beta-blockers and such. If there are any people who want to make a joke and say "well, all riders are doped". They would take drugs to up their heart rate not lower it.

Armstrong had a 30-32 BPM , I heard Francois Simon had 29 BPM , Santiago Perez had 2004 the lowest TDF BPM with 31 |
