Politiken is actually really good for sports, especially cycling. I'd say it's the best Danish daily newspaper when it comes to covering cycling. |

I suggested that months ago but nobody listened.

I don't see you coming up with good ones
Worst of all: dammit. I missed the omnium one of the very few races I actually like on the track

The sprint where the danes scored those two points were called one lab too soon by the commisionaries, and therefore it was dismissed. |

Worst day today, absolutely nothing happened other than a couple of crashes and the Dutchman, Muller collapsed which provided some entertainment
and Pat McQuaid's speech at the closing ceremony was quite funny but none of the racing was that exciting.
Steve Burke, Matt Crampton and Vicky Pendleton rode very well though The suprise, disappointment and feeling sorry for Pendleton at the end was huge, you could feel it all around the Velodrome, Reed just had a great final

The people sat next to me today went every single day, sat on the front row of the back straight every day, talking to Pendleton's parents most days, they said it was an awesome experience
The last time they came to Manchester was the last time the Worlds were at Manchester and Boardman set his hour record, just for that other guy to beat it moments later, they said that was great to watch as well

Obree set it on 17 July 1993 in Norway, Boardman broke it 6 days later in Bordeuax., then Obree got a new one again in Bordeaux the next year.
Boardman set the record for the style that the UCIbastards banned in Manchester in 1996, then the 'official' one in 2000 in Manchester.
