Just downloaded PCM2007, but do have some promlems when installing it...
The two files that i downloaded nd called
Setup-PCM2007-focus-online-hw-1[1].0.0.0.exe and
Setup-PCM2007-focus-online-hw-1.0.0.0-1a.bin
I put both in one folder, named PCM2007.
First I tried to use the exe-file, but the message "The file Setup-PCM2007-focus-online-hw-1[1].0.0.0-1a" could not be located in....PCM2007"
So i tried to do like one here earlier have written - renamed the
"Setup-PCM2007-focus-online-hw-1.0.0.0-1a.bin" to "Setup-PCM2007-focus-online-hw-1[1].0.0.0-1a.bin"
Result : When using the Setup-PCM2007-focus-online-hw-1[1].0.0.0.exe The message "The source file is corrupted" (that will be the renamed bin-file) appears.
What do I do wrong ? |

Hi i had the same problem too, if u look at the thread saying PCM07 Digital Download u should find the soloution. Make sure that u put both files into the same folder then rename them as it says in this (PCM07 Digital Download) thread.

Here I copied and pasted the names in my PCM2007-folder :
Setup-PCM2007-focus-online-hw-1[1].0.0.0.exe
Setup-PCM2007-focus-online-hw-1[1].0.0.0-1a.bin
Can anyone see what is the reason for the message "The source file is corrupted" ?
The size of the bin-file is 434 368KB |

since this is the thread for the download version and I've just been told that's what I'll get (thanks for the info CrueTrue  ), I have a lingering question:
I like to have several DBs installed in parallell.
do I need an activation for each or can I just copy/paste the original unmodded install to several directories and install a mod on each? (doubt it)
do I have to use up an activation every time I want to reinstall to try a different mod? (likely).
I don't just mean simple DBs that only change the .cdb files. I mean graphics stuff and all.

There's an article in our PCM07-section which describes you how to avoid the activation-thingie. Once you have activated it you can save the registry. If you decide to install it again on the same system you can just click the registry key you exported, and the game will be registered even without counting it for an activation.

Hi all
Just wondering, how big are the downloads?
My internet here is really slow(University-residence) and my guess is that its about 1 gig which would take a very long time with my connection.
But if it is less I will DL it.

some special question conserning the artikle about the registry "trick"

1) due to experience from the last version (or maybe somebody allready knows it for this one) when installing a patch, do we need to unlock the game again whith a serial number?
2) has somebody allready tried the registry trick with this version and can confirm that its working? |

1. No, you don't need to use a new activation when installing a patch.
2. As I said in the PM, the folder with the keys have been changed to HKEY_LOCAL .. I will write a new guide so it fits to the new game. |
