Settimana Coppi e Bartali - Race Review
Team Roster:
I couldn't imagine better start of race for my team - me and Marcel got double at opening stage, and our team won team time trial next day. Briliant beginning of the race!
Stage 3 was another great stage for our team, Capecchi took a stage win and leader jersey after counter-attack on Garzelli at last climb.
At Stage 4 Eros wasn't able to counter after attacks of some GC contenders and lost 25 seconds to stage winner (Garzelli), but he kept leader jersey.
I got 11th place at Stage 5, it was the last chance for sprinters in Italy. Victory for Merlo (Barloworld).
At final hilly criterium Bobridge got surprising victory after chaotic lead-out at finish from small group, Marcel was 4th, and Marcel got 6th place. I finished the stage at 13th place.
Final classifications:
Spoiler
After last stage my PCM crashed, so I wasn't able to make in-game screenshots, sorry for this
Yes! Yes! Yes! After one of the greatest races by far for our team we got another great news - we received wild card for Giro d'Italia! I really can't wait my GT debut, but before the race I'll ride some WT cobble classics. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

Pretty good race there, Capecchi with a big win, GT wild card, that's good.
Also, how many race days Degenkolb already have? Would like to know that before GT . |

At the moment (after Settimana Coppi e Bartali race) Degenkolb have 35 race days, he won't take part in many races in April (only three WT classics at the moment, team Thuringer Energie did accessions also for Ardennes classics). |

KBC-Driedaagse De Panne-Koksijde - Race Review
Team Roster:
Opening stage was won with by Jacobs (Silence - Lotto) with huge advantage ahead rivals. It was very, very hard stage for me, I reached finish line almost 10 minutes after the winner. Klein and Jungels didn't finished the stage within time limit.
I got two quite good places at flat stages - I was 10th at Stage 2, and 11th at Stage 3. Second stage was won by Farrar (Garmin), next day won Hushovd after really close sprint fight with Haedo.
At the final TT Team Columbia - HTC got double - Hincapie won ahead Boasson Hagen.
Final classification:
Summary:
Spoiler
The last race was for me important test before cobble classics, I think I won't get good places there, but I hope that I'll gain some experience. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

What a race! Boonen, who was going to win crashed just before the entry to the stadium. Pozzato took advantage of Boonen's bad luck at got another victory. This time Hoste was second, and unlucky Boonen was third. I wasn't reached the finish line within time limit.

Now I'll have some rest days because race organizers of some classic at the end of April refused our team's applies for the races, so I'll ride only two classics before the Giro at beginning of May. It may have a negative impact for my form, but I think I will be ready for my GT debut. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

@sutty Thanks
At the moment I played first six stages of Giro and I'll post the report soon. At the moment I can tell only that these stages were quite interesting |

Giro d'Italia - Race Review - Part 1
Team Roster:
The prologue was won by Swedish Columbia - HTC rider Thomas Lovkvist. My team-mates had great performances, especially Bobridge who was 9th and got white jersey for best young rider.
My road race debut in GT was below my expectations - I got only 26th place at Stage 2, won by Clerc (AG2R).
Brice Feillu got great 6th place at hilly third stage which ended short, but very steep climb. Basso (Quick Step) won the stage ahead Niemiec (Miche) and Valverde (Columbia - HTC), who kept pink jersey.
At next two flat stages my performances were disappointing again, Lorenzetto (after perfect lead-out by Ballan) and Clerc (again ) took victories.
YEAH! We got double! Sergio won ahead Eros at Stage 6 after excting chasing Lovkvist at the last downhill.
This stage was great also from another reasons - Sergio got white jersey and he climbed to top 10 of GC. Valverde still kept pink jersey.
Summary:
Spoiler
I have mixed feelings after first stages of my GT debut - I wasn't showed my sprint skills at flat stages, but Sergio was grateful to me for my help at hard stages, so I think I was contributed to his victory. Now I'm waiting for some difficult stages, include mountain stage to Campitello Matese and TT. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

Giro d'Italia - Race Review - Part 2
After victory at Stage 6 Sergio had another impressive performance - he was second at Stage 7. Lovkvist won the stage and wore pink jersey.
At next stage Henao had problems to stand with the best climbers and lost some seconds, but he kept top 10 place. I tried to breakaway and I won intermediate sprint (at least I won something at this race ), I was catched at beginning of final climb. Victory for Bruseghin, leader jersey for Bertagnolli.
Unfortunately Sergio lost over 4 minutes to winners at flat TT, so he lost high place in GC and was dropped out of top 20. Yesterday's winner Bruseghin was second and he took pink jersey.
Flat Stage 10 was won by Lorenzetto (Lampre), who got another victory at this year Giro.
Summary:
Spoiler
I'm not so happy because Sergio lost his good place, but I think he can get a stage victory. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

Giro d'Italia - Race Review - Part 3
Victory for Nibali! Italian Saxo Bank rider got pink jersey after solo victory at Stage 11. Sergio lost 3 minutes and 53 seconds to winner, but he advanced to 16th place in general classification.
I was very tired after hard mountains stages, so I wasn't able to take part in final sprints. Stage 12 was won by points classification leader Lorenzetto, and Mondory was the fastest rider at Stage 13.
Next day Nibali won at Monte Zoncolan and increased his advantage in GC over Bruseghin.
Before Stage 15 our team got great news - we received wild card for Tour de France! As you can see below, this information affected us very motivating....
Edgar won Stage 15! My team-mates decided to test another lead-out method and it was great decision! Second place for Ballan, and third for Sebastian. It wasn't our only success that day - Sergio attacked at downhills and won intermediate sprint.
Nibali is unbeatable! He got third victory at very, very hard Stage 16 and again increased his huge advantage ahead most dangerous rivals. Sergio tried to attack twice, but with no good effect. About 40 riders, include Marcel, wasn't reached the finish within time limit.
Summary:
Spoiler
Lastest hard mountain stages were for me like nightmare, I can't wait for the last, flat stage in Milano. Anyway I'm so glad for TDF wild card for our team, I hope I'll recover for the second GT race in my career. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

Nice stage win there. Also Tour de France wild card... Pretty nice. But I think you shouldn't send Johnny there, it would be an overkill to him . How many race days he will have after Giro? I think 65? And its barely end of May. ~70-75 days is max for riders to get high form, more race days after 70, worse form.
Also I don't know how your calendar looks (especially with other riders), but it might be to many race days if you want from your riders high form on later races. I know what I'm saying. I had almost 30 years career with one team . |

Thank you for your advices, when I'm making calendar and I'm always emphasis on sponsor objectives and number of flat races/classics.
At the moment Bobridge have the largest number of race days (66), Dege will have 65 after Giro. My riders who are taking part in Giro have various number of race days, but, interestingly, they have almost the same number of fitness points. (from Ferrari's 99 points to Capecchi's 97 points). I'll decide about Dege's sending to Le Tour just before the start (as always) |

Giro d'Italia - Race Review - Part 4
Stage 17 was successful for breakaway riders - Noe (Liquigas) won ahead Van der Velde (Skil) and Mazzanti (Katusha).
Penultimate mountain stage of the race to Bormio was won by Bruseghin, who outsprinted race leader Vincenzo Nibali. Sergio had a good performance and moved up to 22nd place in general classification.
Victory for Serramenti! Bertagnolli won queen stage of the race to Belizzona, Nibali again got second place.
German TT specialist Tony Martin got second victory at this Giro, after great ride at Stage 20 (ITT). Jack was 13th.
Ponzi showed his power at final stage for sprinters, he won with huge advantage ahead Van Emden and De Greef. I wasn't took part in the sprint.
Final classifications:
Summary:
Spoiler
My GT debut was a very hard lesson for me and I'm not so happy for my results, but two stage wins for debut team in Grand Tour is a huge success. Now I'll have some days of rest. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

Ster Elektrotoer - Race Review
Team Roster:
Stage 1 (ITT) was won by Lowik (Vacansoleil), next day SzczawiĆski (Miche) proved to be fastest at first flat stage of the race.
At Stage 3 Max rode in breakaway and took the lead in mountain classification after winning four mountain bonuses. Stage victory for Bille, I finished the stage in top 20, I think you guess that this result didn't satisfy me.
At the hardest stage of the race - Stage 4 - Max secured his victory in mountain classification, he again rode in breakaway and won one of mountain bonuses. Rabobank CT sprinter Vermelfoort won the stage.
Bellis (Cineli - Down Under) won the last, flat stage for sprinters.
Final classifications:
The Wales Open Criterium
Team Roster:
Spoiler
Yes! After disappointing performance at Ster Elektrotoer I finally got a victory after awesome lead-out by Sebastian May! Second place for Finetto, and third for Sebastian. Anyway after that race I decided to not take part in Tour de France, I would focus on gaining points for Continental Tour ranking.
Race results:
My team manager signed contracts with three new riders - TT specialist Tony Martin, mountain domestique Hivert and young promising sprinter Alexander Kristoff. I think Tony could be new team leader for general classifications of GTs, he is one of the best time-trialist in the world. He can also help me at flat stages. Greetings and thanks for the support! |

Tour de Delta - Race Review
Team Roster:
Marcel won prologue in Brenco. Jack also had good performance and he was 3rd. Nice beginning for our team, isn't it?
I dominated the race! I won both flat stages of the race, thank to great lead-out by Marcel (who was 2nd at Stage 2) and Sebastian (who got two top 10 places). I also won general, points and young rider classifications! I think I can be happy after this race
Final classifications:
Giro della Calabria - Race Review
Team Roster:
After great race in Canada my form wasn't good enough and I wasn't able to fight with best sprinters at flat stages. Victories for Honig, who was leader after first two flat stages (Vacansoleil) and Marinangeli (LPR).
Niemiec (Miche) took a nice victory at Stage 3 and wore leader jersey.
Milan got victory at Stage 4. Spanish rider won ahead Wynants (Silence - Lotto) and Sanchez (Caisse). Thank to my team-mates I survived hills and I got 10th place.
Final classifications:
Summary:
Spoiler
After bad performance in Italy I decided to not take part at Sachsen Tour International, because I couldn't fight for best places at flat stages. Now I'll have some days rest, after that I'll take part in Sparkassen Giro, it's important race for me and my sponsors. Greetings and thanks for the support! |
