This start into season is getting quite frustrating for Oz

I don't get why Venchi get a train every stage when we have a better sprinter and a lead-out train... Well, 2nd place is definetely better than nothing, especially when I consider Bewley's position before the actual sprint. But it really sucks that a sprinter like Howard was again only somewhere around 90th place.

Another excellent stage win after a good leadout. New trio working nicely.
Bizarre by Harrison and Gastauer though. Fortunate it wasnt Jungels or Kittel - bit annoying you didnt name them at the time though Rider Great reporting otherwise.
I dont get why we arent seeing 3/4 lead out trains every stage though.

Best lead-out so far by Van Avermaet, but Van Stayen starts a bit too late. He is quick in the final meters, but too far back to really challenge for a podium.
I guess a 5th place in the GC is the best we can hope for now, but we will need to get some seconds in the bag on Degenkolb before the last stage.

Loving this consistency from Vanderbiest. Shame Bret couldn't get any time bonuses in the break, but not like it'd make a huge difference points wise. Hopefully Vanderbiest can beat Guarnieri by a few places on Stage 5, which would make 3rd overall likely. |

24th. Groenewegen improves with every stage.
Now he finally sprints, where he should according to his stats. |

This season gonna be hard test of my nerves. In case PCM15 will be also fucked up, first thing to do is to find enough money for Degenkolb´s training during transfer period.

Kristoff showing stability. Just a pity that it is around 10th place, but as said earlier, he clearly isn't better. Kind of annoying to see Hoelgaard in the breakaway not get any bonus seconds and be dropped after being caught. Guess it was a good thing he didn't get bonifications then, as that would have been really annoying
Another nice win for Swift, but this is far from over with only 12 seconds down to Bewley. If Becherovka can get their act together and give Bewley a proper train on stage 5, it should go down to the 3,5 kilometers against the clock.
Thanks for the reports and nice pace, The Rider! |

Like the 5 seconds he had gained on Stage 3?

That was why it was annoying he wasn't able to take more. With 10 seconds or more advantage on the bunch before the TT, he would have had a nice chance to secure a good GC placing. Five seconds wouldn't help too much with 65 PRL, I think. |

Well Holloway sprinted to 15th just ahead of Fab in 16th. I'll take what little shreds I can get from an utter wipe out here.
Bew and Swift sharing the spoils - been a very nice race for both riders really despite the curious absence of sprint trains on some stages for Bewley.
Guessing this will be one of the few real sprinter head to heads bar the flat classics that could be a bit more of a stamina test.

Theo manages to get in the top 10. I'm on the verge of tears of happiness
Interesting race so far between Swift and Bewley, I'd make Swift favourite now

Bad performance by Tzortzakis here. He really struggled to get inside the train, and clearly used a lot of energy on that. 15th is no way near good enough.
Just one more stage before we will Finally see what this TT/prologue is all about. Atleast Coppel is always around 20-30th, so he looks vary on any splits/crashes.
Im happy to see Zabel do so well here though, despite it being bad for our chances. He is a really nice talent.

At least Goss bothers to sprint.
But i am pretty harsh on Guardini, he even entered late top30 in stage 4,his best result in Qatar, wow.
Congrats to Vesuvio, Swifty looks to be in great position now.
Thanks for the report.

Great stage by Zabel, close to winning by taking a chance and getting our first podium for the season I don't know alot about the TT level of the U25 riders, but a nice chance for a white jersey, wont complain about that

Zmorka is 20 seconds back now, so i hope he could catch Rick in GC with having 25 points of advantage in prologue stat. But then again, the prologue is very very short, so it can be nice battle for U25 jersey.
Not sure about other contenders, is Durbridge U25? Not sure how this is handled...
Zabel is actually doing great in Qatar, he is maybe "worst" sprinter of those who are bothering to sprint with 81/79 and he has the podium now.

Indeed, he has been sprinting every stage, and I like that. Hopefully he will keep doing that and end up with some more lucky results. Dunno if team setup affects it in any way, because of the prologue Brändle might've been set as "team leader" by the game while Zabel is sprinter and thus joins the sprint every time, while some other top sprinters are just set as leaders? Don't know how that works for the AI
