After a week of sprinting, it's time for the likes of Sky and Movistar to come to the fore. Today, we head up to Ax 3 Domaines and the Tour gets its first taste of the mountains.

Several riders decide to chance their luck in the breakaway. They are Chernetskiy, Brajkovic, Anacona, Flecha, Le Mevel, Mourey, Bouet, Chavanel and Ballan.


Chavanel wins the sprint.


Sagan is the best out of the peloton. Once again Greipel sin't up there.


The first attack from the peloton comes from Kruijswijk, 57km out.


It doesn't work out for him. 15km later Warren Barguil attacks. Despite losing a lot of ground after being blocked by Siutsou, Peeters manages to join the Argos man.


Those two are joined by Bart de Clerq and Mathieu Favre.


Favre is dropped, and some main favourites decide to attack. Froome, Mollema and Rolland go.


Quintana leads over the climb. He has a good lead with Froome, while Brajkovic is also somehow still up front.


Most favourites are in the 22 man group 8th from the front. In between them and the three leaders are the scattered remains of the breakaway and some attackers.


Simon Gerrans is in A8. Orica's stint in Yellow is over.


Froome attacks at the base of the climb. Quintana follows him as closely as possible. Brajkovic can't hold on. Out of the team leaders only Spilak is behind right now.


With 7km to go there is a split. The main riders behind are Meyer, Van Garderen, Nieve, Mollema, Barguil, Kwiatkowski and the Europcar trio of Voeckler, Rolland and Peeters.


Nieve and Meyer lead the chase, and manage to catch most of the other leaders.


Van Garderen attacks straight away. There are just 2.6km left.


But it was always going to be between these two. With 500m to go, Quintana leads.


With 200m to go the two are level.


And on the line it's Craig Vr... I mean Chris Froome!


Who else did you think it would be? Say what you will about him, Chris Froome is a super-human.


Alejandro Valverde wins the sprint for 3rd.


Scarponi is the best of the next bunch.


And Diego Johnson manages to bridge the gap well.

Today's stage is unpredictable. Will the GC guys go for it be a sprint finish?

Another large break today. Up the road are Chavanel, Aru, Voeckler, Flecha, Niemiec, Paulinho, Amador and Bardet. So we have a few Top 15 GC riders in there.


Amador wins the first climb.


Voeckler wins the 2nd.


Paulinho wins the 3rd.


Niemiec wins the sprint, and once again Sagan is the best out of the peloton.


With 20km to go, the break has 4'23. The win will go to one of these guys.


Voeckler has a lead under the 5km marker. Can he do it?


Yes he can! And it's a home one-two with Bardet getting away to a solo 2nd place.


Amador wins the sprint for 3rd.


Only Sagan is up front out of the sprinters. He should take it quite easily.


Yep. He beats Kwiatkowski and Froome to the line but the Brit has lost his Yellow Jersey. Who has it now?

Another pure sprint stage. Can Peter Sagan finally outsprint his competitors when it matters?

In the break today are Amador, Gilbert, Gallopin and Offredo.


Offredo wins the sprint, and again it's Sagan who is best from the peloton.


With 15km to go there is a split, leaving 98 riders behind.


With 2.5km left the sprinters are all in position, brut the break holds a small lead. Phillipe Gilbert has a 44 second lead.


The BMC man gets into a tuck and gets ready for the run home. This should make his manager happy.


Once again it's Sagan who is the best sprinter. He catches Gallopin, but Gilbert is too far away.

The sprinters get gobbled up by the others, looks like they went too early in an attempt to catch the break. Andre Greipel is finally back; he gets 3rd.
