Not sure about De Gendt there. He'd be great but I'm not sure they'll bring him. |

it's either him or Gołaś. Gołaś could be great for chasing down breakaway for mass sprints. That HTC Danny Pate role. |

I really doubt they will take De Gendt, it was a tough Giro so I say Golas goes as he is a good workhorse

Even though Cav is my favorite rider, I think Kittel may be better. Ever since Cav got married, his performance has dropped a little, so I'm not sure he'll be "unstoppable" as in years past.

Just been walking around the stage 1 finish - the final KM looks a little bit evil. While it's straight with just 1 roundabout, it goes up, down and then up again before a flat last 100-200m. I'm curious to see who it'll suit. |

Rumours say there only are 3 spots left on Saxo as the following 6 are sure: Contador, Kreuziger, Rogers, Roche, Paulinho and Hernandez. That leaves 3 spots up. The same source (a danish one) also said that Tosatto shouldnt expect a ticket. My guess on the following 3 rider would be Bennati, Mørkøv and either Breschel, Zaugg or Nicki Sørensen for the last spot. Interesteing to follow.
Chaves won today in Suisse - does that mean that he will go? His appearence would definetely be aprreciated by me as there arent many columbians attending and Orica could at least have one guy who is capable of winning a mountain stage from a break |

It's not just the Dauphiné, he is underperforming the whole year now. |

I am confident Nibali will be there come TdF. Why? Its no uncommon for Nibali solely to focus on the GTs and kinda underform in other races. He isnt a rider who is able to be near topform the whole season (like Contador this year, Froome last year and Wiggins 2 years ago). He isnt Schleck-esque, but he is pretty close when planning his season and peaing for a few races in a year. Also, he looked much worse in 2012 in Dauphine and was able to find what needed to get a podium (in a weak edition, yes). Afterall he also got 7th in a hotly contested race, almost a month before the first mountain in the Tour. No worries for me, even though I guess he also was supposed to be close to topform around april. He wasnt, but that's what it is.
I also read a piece on cyclingnews about Nibali's training in the Dolomitees aftor Dauphine where he really is building towards the Tour. His trainer said that he was able to produce 10 more watts than before, which is a good sign. I dont think Nibali will win the Tour and i wouldnt be surprised if he didnt make top-3 given the competetion this year, but I dont think you have to worry him being ready. |

Are you talking about the same rider who had podium in MSR, LBL and TDF in one season? How many GT rider even try to win MSR in todays cycling??
Nibali never focus solely on GTs, or just focus on one target a season. He's actually one of the few GT guys who try to win many different races every year..
His 2014 season has been terrible. LBL was a big target for him adn was a complete disaster. I'm confident the tour will be different. Ofc winning is really hard, but a 2013 giro form Nibali would add a lot to the race |

For me Alberto Contador is the main favorite for the overall.
#1 Contador
#2 Froome
#3 Valvede
in my eyes Contador has the better team - Kreuziger, Rogers, Roche, Bennati and maybe Breschel. A good mountain, flat and cobbled team to secure him the win.
Froome has gotten a good team as well, but strangely enough don't see him winning i this year
Green for Sagan - the route suits him almost perfect
but the mountains jersey?
personally i believe in Joaquim Rodríguez.
he says he's there for the stages and not for GC.
I just see him winning one of the mountain top finishes and furthermore have a lot of good results on all the big mountain stages.

Bouhanni got Giro, Demare gets Tour, what's so unclear about it. There's no reason to take both of these guys, especially considering that Bouhanni isn't that type of sprinter who could work in a lead-out. |
