Spyker don't have much money, so they hire paying drivers. same as Super Aguri (you didn't think Davidson was there because of skill, did you? )
actually, I don't think there's ever been a year when there are so few paying drivers |

Thats the problem, F1 needs to put in some foundation so that any new teams that come in can be stable and compete with the big teams. The lack of money is what flaws these teams (eg midland) i personally like spyker (because there dutch) but id like to see them do well, but there is not enough money.

what foundation? give them money? they already get part of the revenue as per the concorde agreement, and "giving" them money just by itself is frankly a bit naff. if you're a prospective team owner and don't have money, it's your own problem.
also: money is not the single point. otherwise Toyota would use it's gargantuan budget to actually do something competent
as for liking spyker for being dutch, maybe I'd like them if they weren't *-holes who have so far treated everyone like crap (I'm trying not to swear) for their own personal advantage. except for Albers. with Albers' attitude, he deserves whatever anyone throws at him.
also, the nepotism at that team makes me sick. "sorry, you're fired. we have to make room to give jobs to the families and friends of the owners"
sorry if I came across aggressive or such, it's just that that team irritates us fans

Anyone watch any of the race?
I couldnt stop laughing at the start when 6/7 cars crashed at the same place, one after the other, and Winkelhock was leading!!!

Yes Winkelhock was class out there, sure christian will get it, but if they have to put someone else in for the next race id like to see Giede, although have they sorted out his contract, as both spyker and super aguri said they owned him?

I've finally gotten around to watching the race now.
absolutely brilliant massa. such a speed difference between his car and alonso's in those conditions in the last few laps and massa still manage to hold on for a while.
just brilliant. bad luck aside, that guy would've been the champion this season for a long way.
as for webber in the podium.....that guy has no middle ground. always either horrible or brilliant luck. which is what this result was....luck |

Sakon Yamamoto has been confirmed as the replacement for Christijan Albers at Spyker for the remainder of the 2007 Formula One season.
I just had to laugh, this guy is a danger to pit crews

Hamilton will no doubt be pissed at this. Alonso's race engineer got Alonso to stall Hamilton in the pits so as to hold him up. as such, Hamilton didn't get to put in a lap when the conditions made the track faster. as such, Alonso gets pole.
actually, no one at McLaren is happy. I don't really care, but this was extremely unsporting from Alonso. if it was me, I'd suspend him.

Ron Dennis balmes it on Hamilton: https://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.as...O_ID=40282
And as i hate Hamilton ... Go Alonso!
I'm just waiting for the FIA to ban Ferrari and McLaren for the spying thing, then force both teams to work on building a decent car for Honda before being allowed to return.

yes...FIA punishing McLaren or Ferrari significantly...that'll happen as soon as Real Madrid have a full game without the referee screwing up calls their way.....meaning never.
and since I hate Alonso's "It's never my fault attitude": screw them both

Your british realy are masohist....why to cheer Button (who is no doubt great rider with terrible car) if you have young talent.
I hate Alonso and even more after today's move. I remember times when F1 was gentelman sport, biggest priority was passion about racing. Then we get Schumacher and he's dirty moves..now Alonso (childish f**k you acts..I am world champ. All the time he opens mouth to make he's statement..I have chanche to say..ou dear this guy is even more stupid as I thought). Against he's own teammate...this is mental.
I always cheer finish riders..you can predict why? Outside a race they are like farmer boys..(ofcorse rich farmer boys..somethimes drunk)...I cant remember who sayd after Räikkonen debut year..something like this..:you have to be fin to get first season like this..this is to emotional for Brazil boy. |
