A brillilant stage win for us from the break, hopefully it's a sign of things to come from the team.

The Rider
@ Sammy: What do you mean? It is not as if your squad will win a mass sprint/ mountain stage. So that win, will no doubt, be one of the top highlights.....

The correct answer was Allan Davis (It was another really easy one, you could have been forgiven for saying it was Cummings though) They will be much harder in the next few stages.

Only one person with the answer of 'Hinault' showed they clearly didn't read the report as from the screenshots it is evident there is no T-Mobile rider in the group...... Charteau wasn't a great answer either as I specified he was dropped....

Bonus points for correctly stating it was Davis:
Spoiler

Atlantius, sammyt93, knockout - 10 points
Selwink, Bikex - 5 points

I answered Hinault and I read the report. I thought the pink jersey at the right(roughly 13th) was T-Mobile...

Answered Petacchi, probably read over him being dropped or something. Frown

@Jesleyh I think you were looking at the wrong picture. Pfft

The Rider
@ Jesley - Well you didn't read it close enough then.... As that rider finished around 45th.........................

You were right it was a Borussia rider but as Davis can handle the hills well more so than Petacchi and the fact Davis did put in a small attack should have led you to Davis. Wink Cummings was very close though.

The next stage it will be a total guess, pretty much, well not really because it is a mountain top finish! There won't be a bonus on offer for the 49 km flat TTT. Wink

FFS, I said Cummings Pfft
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Dippofix
I appear to have taken Cummings for 13th, but it also appears i took him for an Iberia rider, so i rightly fucked up there.

Anyway, a nice result from the break, though i can't see why Ciolek didn't get a Top 10 tbh.

Shonak
Only one minute on Serpa, we can live with that. Still, I had hoped for a better support for him. But alas, tomorrow's stage will bring full attack rage... and hopefully another 3rd place. Shock

I'm hoping for some luck on the hilly stages, and channel could have a chance if the cobble stage ends in a reduced sprint.

"Coach, what happens today?

- We are 4th in GC and Tschopp is 5th with 2'' he lost in the Prologue.

- Ah you know about Tschopp now?

- You made it clear my only goal is to beat Tschopp. Now bye, I have work to do to prepare for tomorrow".

This stupid boss, he can buy a paper or watch TV or Internet, I won't answer from now on.

Great job for De Weert so far. But Cummings is getting to worry me more and more Sad

STAGE 6: Bled - Krvavec 156 KM

Stage favourites:
*****Atapuma(SAH) ****Szymd(IBA) **De Weert(SWI)
**Konig(NES) *Serpa(CAR)

We end on a climb 13 kilometres in lenght averaging 5%, expect the mountain men to fight out the win.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/1_zps34495539.jpg

Chainel leads the attacks today.

The 7up rider would by joined by Morajko, Sullivan, vandeWalle, Vogondy, Appleby, Louder and Boilly for the break today.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/2_zpsb994fa0a.jpg

Muravyev falls!

He wouldn't be the only one. The dangerous steep descents also caused Swift and Minard to fall early on in the stage.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/3_zpsdab7326e.jpg

Cartoon Network animate the race.

Bochman (39th @ 4'24) attacks with the break at 5'00 with 90 kilometres to go, nice to the Dane attacking after his aggressive efforts in Oman.

With 84 kilometres to go and the break at 7'00 Swiss Life and Aer Lingus are the only teams riding on the front, they want the win today.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/4_zps818a5a9b.jpg

In the tunnel.

Bochman is really struggling to reach the break by himself, he cut the gap down to 2'00 but can't reduce the gap anymore.

Mori falls! He was 13th in the GC going into this stage, he fell with 65 km to go and would not recover. He would finish over 30'00 down today.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/5_zpsa584fa14.jpg

ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!

Atapuma, Chernetskiy, Charteau and Ascani attack with 52 kilometres to go. Atapuma is way too strong for the rest and leaves the trio in his dust with the original break at 4'00 and Bochman at 2'00.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/6_zps023ba86f.jpg

40 KM to go.

Bochman can only watch on as Atapuma passes him and leads the original break over the penultimate climb of the day collecting 10 KOM points.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/7_zps72af8ee7.jpg

Louder's last stand.

Weary of Atapuma the original breakaway riders attack, just before the final climb, with 13.5 km to go and the peloton behind at 2'20.

When the climb kicks up Atapuma soon distances the breakaway riders. The Colombian is looking strong after being dropped yesterday.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/8_zps0ebe1e04.jpg

Serpa, wearing the KOM jersey for Szymd, is the first favourite to attack.

Garate (Aer Lingus) puts in a superb shift on the front and brings back this attack and a further attack by the aggressive Cartoon Network rider.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/9_zpsf52d3458.jpg

More attacks!

7 KM to go: Atapuma has 1'20 over the favourites.

Konig (Nespresso) is the next to attack, who else! Shortly after that Simon Clarke puts in a speculative attack with Serpa, but Garate brings both attacks back.

Sitting in second wheel all the time the red jersey is looking very comfortable.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/10_zpsd0e50e11.jpg

Finally!

3 km to go: Atapuma has 1'00 over the peloton and looks destined for a super victory, but Tschopp attacks as Garate finally moves aside. Szymd immediately goes with this attack.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/11_zps57ed8433.jpg

SAHIN SUCUKLARI WIN STAGE 6!

The Turkish based team have a win to remember with a great solo display from Atapuma, who will move high up in the KOM competition as well. Great win!

Behind Tschopp and Szymd trudge on as the finish is close as Konig, Serpa and De Weert attack behind.

i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/riderrunrider/12_zps3db8c08c.jpg

Szymd wins the battle for second over Tschopp. The Pole looked very calm and collected today. With bonus seconds and Cummings behind he will extend his GC lead today.

The next group home lose '18 to Szymd they are Serpa, Konig (who else) and GC favourite De Weert.

A large group of GC favourites come home @ 1'09 compressed together. This group contains over 30 riders, with many still harbouring GC ambitions.

Oh come on, so close to our next 3rd place, but alas... what a brave stage by our guys. Bochmann showed some real courage attacking so far out but it was also a stupid move. Gotta be honest here, he wasted power and so did Serpa by attacking so early on. No helpers presumably with Sepera. That's not okay. However, Serpa still performed in a great way and the cobbles and TTT will hopefully improve his GC ranks further. Just please, one favor: Don't drop out.

Szmyd and Konig has been amazing.
