Arabs no longer use flying carpets apparently
In Oman Breschel was hit by a flying mattress (????) and went down. He's a bit injured.

Remotely cycling news, but Le Monde has been fined 300 000 € for linking Dr Fuentes to Real Madrid, and another 30 000 to the medical service of RM, and a last 15 000 to FC Barcelona's one.
In Spain football watches you. |

Spain is one of those rare countries that has an "Anti-Anti-Doping Agency".

Apparently our former favourite scarecrow (Lance Armstrong if you didn't get it) also bought the Clasica San Sebastian in 1995.
Say I do remember watching it live and cheering for him. |

Not really "news", but it fits like OJs glove; are there any numbers that show which sport has the most drug tests?
If you do the math, how does cycling stack up against football, hockey, basket, american football, etc.?

I like it. Whoever wins will need to be a pretty complete rider. |

A comparative study was done on Rabobank 2010 vs Athletic Bilbao 2010
Rabobank 400-something tests. Bilbao 3....one on a guy who was out injured for the season and two on the 3rd choice goalie

It's my experience that a world championship that has X written all over it is basically guaranteed to not be won by said person
Teams are smaller, racing is more chaotic and everyone will have in mind that a predictable race will suit whoever X is

So is this the climb?
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

might be my lack of knowledge but to me it doesn't seem to hard, a 800 m climb with only a gained elevation of about 40 meters doesn't seem to hard to me
