Very happy with the transfers although both Serpa and Veelers got a bit too expensive in the end. I went out for drinks and actually checked the threads on the go. Way too nerdy.
Also, I'm still not sure if it was right to bid for Rosseler. His TT and cobbles will come in handy both for Serpa as well as Veelers but it will depend on my draft squad to see if he is actually worthwhile. Since the mountain stages ain't that tough, I also thought that it may be better to have a guy like Rosseler in your squad than a super-climber domestique (who havn't done much for me in previous editions...) I would have loved to sign Montaguti and I'm surprised nobody bid for him. That guy would have done really good, especially as we'd be often in breakaways or be helping as a super-domestique.
About De Weert: Well, I wanted to sign him too. He's a good, complete package and the price may be a bit too high but it's understandable that people wanted to sign him.

I'm actually really glad about the transfer system now.
That is still a better position than Atlantius got last time .... and look what he did, he only went and got the GC winner! There are some real gems in pot 2 and the more tactical the person's picks the more likely they will get the gems.
Dippofix - Well at least you have first dibs at the pot 3 riders!
Now that everyone has a few riders (almost) you should think about organising a team presentation for later on. I think I said you would get 10 UC points for a great team presentation post. |

Just to reiterate the deadline for the draft lists is 18:30 tomorrow. I have released the Pot 2 and Pot 3 riders for about a week now so you can have no complaints if you don't submit your lists.
I will start the draft just after 18:30 tomorrow with or without the 10 or so lists which still need to be sent to me.
( If you fail to submit your lists your riders will be randomly assigned after everyone else has gone through the draft). |
