Yeah, even though it has been a little bit harder at the end, I can't complain, Tomas has just been stoning and he is up 9th in the Continental ranking while Ovechkin slipt to the 13th!
Time to reveal my 3rd recruit for next year
I said I promise... so I had to execute
More names after Vuelta a Venezuela

@ Abelbaba & The Rider: I was expecting you to like the signing as I went according the names you suggested
& Thanks for Colombia!
STAGE 1 – Flat
“Small move from Colombia to Venezuela. Same kind of race but stronger competition here! Still our objective should be a good GC for Tomas, the KoM and some stage wins along the way. Today, we should pick the KoM jersey and more if the break away makes it. Jeremy, Alastair and Charles you are our men!”
Loutit makes the break and will wear KoM jersey tomorrow. Then massive sprint.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Robert Förster | 3h07'57 | 2 | Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg | s.t. | 3 | Thomas Rabou | s.t. | 4 | Alexandr Pliuschin | s.t. | 5 | Karl Menzies | s.t. | 21 | Tomas Alberio | s.t. |
STAGE 2 – Flat
Similar scenario today with Huff in the break. He attacks with 5 kilometres to go and a difficult finish.
Still ahead with 500 metres but Foster is sprinting like a mad man with Alberio in his wheels.
Damn it! It was close…
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Robert Förster | 4h07'41 | 2 | Charles Bradley Huff | s.t. | 3 | Boy Van Poppel | s.t. | 4 | Tomas Alberio | s.t. | 5 | Alexandr Pliuschin | s.t. |
STAGE 3 – Flat
Huff again in the break that succeeded today! But after collecting Mountain points and chasing after an attack he came short.
2nd at 1’’ in the GC. Damn it again!
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Carlos Fernando Piamonte Rodriguez | 1h55'53 | 2 | Ben Jacques-Maynes | s.t. | 3 | Joseph Lewis | s.t. | 4 | Graham Briggs | s.t. | 5 | Gawie Combrinck | s.t. | 6 | Charles Bradley Huff | s.t. | 7 | José Nicolas Castro Laverde | + 47 | 8 | Boy Van Poppel | + 1'55 |
STAGE 4
“Tomas, you are outsider to Sutherland and Pliuschin, attack at the bottom of the last climb to try to surprise them.
Charles, you stick with the main bunch and pray Piamonte got drop so you cease the leader jersey.
Alastair you can try the break, see if the pack give you a ticket today.”
Loutit attacks several times but get chased each time. The bunch is grouped at the bottom of the hill when Alberio attacks as planned, passing the climber first and solo
But Sutherland and Pliuschin are in a chasing mood and closing the gap. It is going to be very close again!
But this time it holds. Huff finishes in the bunch with Piamonte who thus keeps the GC’s lead.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Tomas Alberio | 4h09'43 | 2 | Rory Sutherland | s.t. | 3 | Andy Jacques-Maynes | s.t. | 4 | Alexandr Pliuschin | s.t. | 5 | Rob Britton | + 1'22 |

@ sutty68, well yes so far...
@ welker3257, it came as 1/2 a surprise but yeah it is great to see Huff rewarded for all his obscure job that brought in substential money at the time we needed it the most
STAGE 6
“Big decisive stage today after tomorrow impressive performance. Charles and Tomas you try to stick with the best.”
The tempo is terrible and at the bottom of the last climb, Huff has to let them go. In the middle of the climb, Alberio is out of power too and struggling to keep the best’s wheels.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Francisco Mancebo Perez | 5h09'35 | 2 | Rory Sutherland | + 28 | 3 | Thomas Rabou | s.t. | 4 | Alexandr Pliuschin | + 2'06 | 5 | Rob Britton | + 3'01 | 7 | Tomas Alberio | + 4'23 |
STAGE 7
“Tomas, you are third favorite today behind Sutherland and Pliuschin. You go with your usual tactic and grab at least a top 3 today. Charles, Alastair go in the break to secure KoM.”
Once again Alberio is lacking a little bit of something. We can see him lagging behind while Sutherland is ceasing the victory.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Rory Sutherland | 6h01'38 | 2 | Francisco Mancebo Perez | s.t. | 3 | Alexandr Pliuschin | s.t. | 4 | Thomas Rabou | + 17 | 5 | Rob Britton | + 1'28 | 6 | Tomas Alberio | s.t. |
STAGE 8
“Another Mountain stage. Tomas do as you want but you should stick to the best on the top of the big climb, then it should be easy to stay with them to the line and not loose time.”
Alberio is with the best on the big climb but later on, the 3 favorites attack and he has to let them go.
He even couldn’t respond second guns attack at the very end.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Francisco Mancebo Perez | 4h49'49 | 2 | Rory Sutherland | s.t. | 3 | Alexandr Pliuschin | + 29 | 4 | Thomas Rabou | + 2'01 | 5 | Rob Britton | s.t. | 12 | Tomas Alberio | + 2'44 |
STAGE 9
“Tomas, your objective should be the 5th place: Mancebo, Sutherland and Pliuschin are just too strong. Even Rabou is out of reach, but we should beat Britton. Try not to loose time today, next days hilly stages will be more to your taste!”
Days are passing and look terribly similar... Alberio still had to let it go in the last climb.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Francisco Mancebo Perez | 4h34'53 | 2 | Rory Sutherland | + 17 | 3 | Alexandr Pliuschin | + 27 | 4 | Thomas Rabou | + 1'05 | 5 | Rob Britton | + 1'32 | 7 | Tomas Alberio | + 2'11 |
STAGE 10 - Hilly
“Tomas, you are third favorite so try to stick with the top 3 and make back some time on Britton in the last climb.
Charles another great day yesterday, keep attacking in early stage and collect points!”
Unfortunately it is exactly the opposite that happens, Alberio has been dropped by the best before Britton on the last climb and lost further time.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Francisco Mancebo Perez | 5h36'00 | 2 | Rory Sutherland | + 14 | 3 | Alexandr Pliuschin | + 40 | 4 | Thomas Rabou | + 53 | 5 | Rob Britton | s.t. | 9 | Tomas Alberio | + 1'57 |
CLASSIFICATION AFTER 10 STAGES
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Rory Sutherland | 40h13'40 | 2 | Francisco Mancebo Perez | + 15 | 3 | Alexandr Pliuschin | + 3'08 | 4 | Thomas Rabou | + 6'03 | 5 | Rob Britton | + 10'39 | 6 | Tomas Alberio | + 12'37 |
Spoiler 7 | Giovanny Manuel Baez Alvarez | + 15'32 | 8 | Karl Menzies | + 18'44 | 9 | Rafael Anibal Montiel Cuellar | + 20'13 | 10 | Paul Mach | + 24'11 |

@ sutty68 & welker3257: I suppose it is a solid result, Top10, 1 stage win and KoM... given our team here... but after Colombia is sounds as a deception
Next months will be hard, very hard: B team is tired, A team not 100% yet and calendar pretty empty
But let's reveal our last 2 recruits for next year:
This guy might be a surprise for you as he has hardly ever been mentioned. However he will be of great help in Mountain, can be leader and win cat 2 races easily and will close important win in TT as we were lacking TT specialist.
So we are down to our last and most important one: our next year leader will be...
He was 2nd choice for both of you, and 1st choices all refused. So I go for him and was very happy by his answer!
Dual Temp will be very strong next year. It might be hard to promote to WT, but we should not be that far, given organisers are a little more open to give us some invitations to WT races...

Spoiler
I'm pretty sure Gerdemann is/was a superb descender so goodness knows why he only has 69!
Now you should sign some more domestiques or scouted riders..maybe.. for next season as the squad should be much bigger, although I reckon you have it all planned out.
Maybe sign someone from Sudan?!?! I'm just saying is all!
You should be thinking about changing the story banner as well with Dual Temp coming on board. |

Well, there is no budget left to hire a single more rider... So will have to do with 18 guys. We will rediscuss it later on how to organise, what to target...
For the banner, yeap I will, but there are still a couple of month to ride for Jelly Belly
STAGE 11 – Hilly
“Last 3 stages are hilly and Tomas is to be one of the favorite, we should try to reach Top 5 whilst securing Charles KoM.”
Today, Alberio has not enough power to expect anything but finish in the big favorite group.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Alexandr Pliuschin | 4h38'02 | 2 | Francisco Mancebo Perez | s.t. | 3 | Rory Sutherland | s.t. | 4 | Karl Menzies | s.t. | 5 | Thomas Rabou | s.t. | 10 | Tomas Alberio | s.t. |
STAGE 12 – Hilly
Favorite on the paper does not translate on the terrain as the GC’s Top 5 finish Top 5 of the stage, Alberio loosing more time to Britton.
Rank Name Time
1 Alexandr Pliuschin 4h52'59
2 Francisco Mancebo Perez s.t.
3 Rory Sutherland s.t.
4 Thomas Rabou s.t.
5 Rob Britton + 1'03
8 Tomas Alberio + 1'36
STAGE 13 - Hilly
“Last chance today, the KoM and Top 10 are secured so let’s try everything to move number 5!”
Early in the stage Britton is in the last position of the peloton, so Loutit put a big acceleration and the pack explodes with Britton in 5th group or so!
But Pliuschin is also deep down on the road
and his team plus Britton’s are much stronger than our, especially as no one helps us.
After the pack has reformed, Alberio accelerates on the last hill and once again Britton is lagging behind.
And once again we get no help while Britton’s team is strong enough to close the gap. And at the end, he Big 3 of the race proves once again themselves.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Alexandr Pliuschin | 5h17'35 | 2 | Rory Sutherland | + 12 | 3 | Francisco Mancebo Perez | s.t. | 4 | Tomas Alberio | + 24 | 5 | Bob Jungels | s.t. |
FINAL CLASSIFICATION
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Rory Sutherland | 55h02'14 | 2 | Francisco Mancebo Perez | + 13 | 3 | Alexandr Pliuschin | + 2'40 | 4 | Thomas Rabou | + 11'20 | 5 | Rob Britton | + 12'08 | 6 | Tomas Alberio | + 14'39 |

@ Abelbaba & sutty68: no miracle here
The end of the season will probably be difficult. Here is the calendar for the last months:
Not that many races, so I have added a few 1 day race though we have no hope, just to keep Ovechkin's fitness at a descent level.
Basically, the reason is here:
Once again we have been refused to 2.2 races not in Amercia. And all races in Septembre, this will be blank month for Ovechkin's return, so he will anticipate for US pro race
