@ sutty68: Indeed! He attacks a lot, but Froome always gets back at him!

STAGE 17
PRE-RACE
Alberto: It will happen today! I will take over the yellow jersey!
Chris: I won’t let Alberto slip away, so I can keep yellow jersey
Local cyclist: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
197km to go
Today's stage is better knwo as the queen stage! The riders must climb up legendary mountains like the Col d'Aubisque and the Col du Tourmalet! However, the finish comes after a downhill, so a sprint is not out of the question!
74km to go
We are at the top of the Col du Tourmalet, the highest point of this year's Tour de France! Every sprint, mountain and intermediate, in this stage so far has been won by Alberto Contador, who is the only one who cares about them. He will also win the next mountain sprint.
33km to go
We are at the foot of the last climb of today, the Col de Peyresourde! Who will attack first and who will get rid of the other?
22km to go
It's Contador attacking near a roadpainting from Froome, how ironic!
18km to go
But Froome shows who is the boss here! He doesn't let Alberto go, and he attacks himself just underneath the top!
14km to go
We are at the top of the last mountain of today! Only a downhill seperates the riders between them and the finish line! Chris Froome has a 10 seconds gap to Alberto Contador
5000m to go
Their downhill-caility is about the same, so the gap with 5km to go is still around 10 seconds! Will the yellow jersey hold on?
0m to go
He can hold on! Chris Froome shows here that he deserves that yellow jersey! Alberto Contador is very disappointed, because he lost 11 seconds in the final 5km, which means he now needs to gain 47 seconds to the Brit to claim the yellow jersey!

@ Miguel98, Ian Butler & mvhoogdalem: The battle is not fought yet! We still have a mountain stage, a time-trial, a flat stage and the Champs-Elysée!
@ Cycleman123: That is his twin brother

STAGE 18
PRE-RACE
Alberto: One of my last chances to get the yellow jersey!
Chris: I will defend the yellow jersey today? How, by winning of course!
Local cyclist: OH GOD NO, NOT ANOTHER MOUNTAIN STAGE
143km to go
The last mountain stage of this year's tour. Peyragudes will host the final metres of today's stage with finish at an altitude of 1600m. An exciting stage awaits us, with (hopefully) a lot of attacks and drama!
47km to go
We are near the only HC-mountain of today, the Port de Bales! As usual, every sprint so far has been won byAlberto Contador.
29km to go
And he wins the next mountain sprint! No attacks yet, but maybe on the next mountain? Who knows! Oh, we are going into a commercial break, to be back with you untill the finish!
15km to go
We're back, and just in time to see the first attack of today! Alberto Contador decided to go at the foot of the Col de Peyresourde!
6000m to go
He gets rid of the Brit. The gap is somewhere between 40 and 50 seconds, meaning he is the virtual leader!
3000m to go
The final climb to Peyragudes, and we have the biggest gap so far this race! The GPS displays 51 seconds, which means that the Spaniard gained time in the downhill!
0m to go
Alberto Contador wins the final mountain stage! But will he take over the yellow jersey! The answer is............
Yes, because Chris Froome finishes 1 minute and 25 seconds behind him, meaning he lost even more time at the final climb! He has to give the jersey to the Spaniard for the second time, but he got it back after 1 day the last time!
Stage:
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Alberto Contador | 5h01'23 | 2 | Chris Froome | + 1'25 |
GC:
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Alberto Contador | 93h18'47 | 2 | Chris Froome | + 38 |
Points:
Rank | Name | Points | 1 | Alberto Contador | 811 | 2 | Chris Froome | 723 |
Mountain:
Rank | Name | Points | 1 | Alberto Contador | 317 | 2 | Chris Froome | 263 |
Victory:
Rank | Name | Victories | 1 | Alberto Contador | 11 | 2 | Chris Froome | 7 |
Jersey:
Rank | Name | Jerseys | 1 | Alberto Contador | 48 | 2 | Chris Froome | 23 |

Well.. Contador's tactics just became clear. Reserve energy for 17 stages and unleash it all on last mountain stage.
Looking forward to the TT. |

Lol.. thought Contador won stage 19.. got so used to him riding in green jersey
Contador should be able to keep the lead, as he was faster than Froome in 1st time-trial. |
