Hello I've downloaded these fine, but they don't seem to work for me. I deleted the copy bit off the end, then I put them in young rider caracature, but now, whenever it start a career it crashes. I was wondering what I'm doing wrong as otherwise I'll be stuck in the world where there are no French young riders with a stat in the 70s! |

@ The Hobbit - It worked for me. I replaced the .xml files with the ones from the download link in c:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2013\Xml\YoungRiderCarac\ .
Have you deleted by mistake the regen.xml file ? That file must remain.

I've built up a team from scratch, and this is my stars in 2021. I only sign riders from the u23 races, so they've all been in the team from a young age

What kind of scout do you (all) use? Legend?
With the new PCM Daily DB 14 i can hire a legend Scout with Classic 9, Sprint 10, Mountain 10, TT 9. When i start a game, ussually with netapp i have at the end of the 1. season ca. 300k money on the bank. The scout has salary abeout 16.6 k.
Should i take him? (Always firing all the the other staff). |

I think you should go for it. But if one of your riders gets injured, you'll have a problem. Especially if it's either Barta or König. So if you can avoid them getting injured, then it's a good deal. |

Depends on which team i have. If it is PCT/WT i usually use them, but if it's CT then answer is no, since budget is too low for something like that.

If I play CT(which I do most of the time), I don't hire scouts, at least not the first year, when the budget is limited.
Observing U23 races works fine.

I never use scouts, especially with the expanded U23 calendar. If they are near the top they are much more likely to have good stats. If they keep winning a certain type of stage they will be that specialty.
Looking at my Willier career i've signed 8 U23 riders based purely off their results and rankings.
2 (Havel and Buhl Anderson) are part of my team core now and both will be mid level WT rider (75ish stats). Currently with another St-Pierre who will be a good CT sprinter (73-74).
I had another, Davies, who would have been the same as St-Pierre.
The other 4 were misses though and just kind of sucked. But that was when i only look at the Ranking and not their actual results (mostly breakaways).
That's a 50% hit ratio for zero cost. A lot higher than the AI teams, and higher than if i relied on 2-3 scouts in 2-3 places. Scouts don't guarantee finding a talent, as that region might just not have any.

I just found this guy. It will be exciting to see his potential!
