As someone who will only see it in the ManGame, I thought I would not be as impressed as I have been by what I've heard. It does sound very good though, I have to say. |

how did people get this game early?
A shop in my town (Antwerp) always has the game before release date. Which makes sense, because they cannot ship all the game boxes to the shops overnight, so they get them earlier. However they decide not to wait for the release date, which is good for me
I played the first 2 stages of the Belgium tour with OPQS.
*(please note I only play uneven years, so I can only refer to PCM 2011)
First stage: Noticed big graphics update, really nice looking. The stage actually finishes near the beach (which it also does in real life). Even the samll uphill slope is in it, very nice stage .
The sprint was an easy win for cav because of my lead out train (Had chavanel, meersman and Boonen in front of him, might be a bit overkill). However, at a certain moment (think 7km) Lotto had the perfect lead out for Greipel, but the fist guy decides to stop leading the peloton, my train takes over, and Greipel just doesn't sprint anymore.
Also strange: Stybar was in Ca's wheel defending him. As cav goes for victory, stybar takes an easy second place... which isn't very realistic.
2nd sprint was also bit strange. Now Griepel comes from behind and overrules Boonen who does not manage to get even next to his lead out (Meersman). However Chavanel takes the win because he escaped around 10km, no other team had enough manpower after the cobbles sections to take him back.
So first impression: Cool graphics, and very nice behaviour of the riders in the pack. When making a lead out train, having riders at left and right side doesn't work, they need to be at the same side to get the train on the wheels.
For now, 2 strange sprints, but this might have something to do with the weak riders in the race (only cav and greipel, no other sprinters).
Up for TT now. |

Rabobank CT not in. That's bad, how can you not get them in, they're doing so good and are so talented!

How's the rider collision in the 2013 edition ? One of my greatest annoyances with 2012 was the fact that it sometimes was a pain to get your riders up front early/at the start of the race, primarily in races with narrow roads. It sometimes makes it a pain to get in early breakaways with the rider(s) you want. Obviously getting blocked in is part of racing, but few riders need 50km to get to the front of the peleton. |

Just to show you how goals have improved. Orica main's goal is winning Tour Down Under and Australian Championships! National Champs were debated whether included or not, but I was one that liked the idea quite a lot and happy to see it got through.
Later OGE has goals of classics. And notice not even one GC goal, which would have been made in PCM 12. Instead, they have many goals to achieve stage wins.
Overall, it should have been done long time ago, but goals are finally fixed. And accomplishing them actually does something

Great to see that it's fixed. Would be nice to see if the goals for ProContinental is also fixed, had many times(with own team) that you have to win the Tour D'France for example, while you didn't get invited. |

Wow, that was about time, but truly amazing! Really realistic etc...
I'm sure I won't regret that I ordered the game

They are improved, as well as the goals for Conti teams.
Here are goals for Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise.
All Belgian goals. No extraordinary goals present, few tougher goals in WT classics, but all could be doable, few easier as well. Basically for a team, I think those are preety realistic and improved plenty.
Basically, goals has been revised and improved across the board.

Amazing, I just love it.
The system for Rider Objectives is also amazing and realistic. |

i.e. a team that wouldn't be able to get into any WT races.

Can't be asked to read through all the new posts, and i want to explore the game myself, but i do have one question.
How does the game handle small pelotons? Currently, for example, in a NC with a field of 50 or less riders, a break goes clear and wins by 30minutes. Does this still happen? And in .2 race often a peloton can be less than 100, and again the gameplay is hardly good.
It's the thing i find most annoying on PCM12 and i hope they've done something about it.

Conti teams will not have WT goals. No need of any screens here.

Looks pretty good. Is there a list of what teams are in it anywhere by the way? Don't think I've seen one around.
I'll end up getting this in a day or two I just know it.
